The Prophecy

I might get beat up for saying this, but compare our team to last years Dallas.

Dallas 06 and Washington 07 were both:
-9-7 in the regular season
-lost first round playoff game to Seattle
-old coach left the team
-new coach (lets assume GW) steps in

Leads to:
-13-3 record
-breakthrough season for QB
-4-2 in division
-consistent victories

Thoughts??

Funny I pointed out these same similarities to a friend. I hope it holds true

Re: The Prophecy

I love this kind of crap! To add a little more:

Old coach leaves after 4 years
New coach was a top Defensive coordinator who failed as a Bills head coach

Ha, although Wade Phillips actually didn't fail as the Bills' head coach. His worst season with the Bills was an 8-8 season. The other two were 10-6 and 11-5.

Anakin - "But I dreamt that the New Padawan DC would come into town and tank like the old Padawan DC who took over for Jedi Master Gibbs the first time around. "Yoda, must this come to pass?"

Yoda - "Ah...that which to you speaks is your fear. For what feel you is the shroud of the Dark Side of the Farce. Of fear empty yourself and let you the Light Side guide. If do you this, as with all who follow the Light, a Jedi of great standing to you will come who many Superbowls will win."

Re: The Prophecy

Since Tony Romo didn't become Dallas' starter until halfway through the '06 season does that mean TC is the QB to take us to the promised land?

Re: The Prophecy

I've thought of these parallels as well. The fact that it was Parcells & Gibbs is funny too. I think Parcells may have started w/the g-men a year after Gibbs w/the Skins, but not sure on that.

Romo had already broke through in 2006.

Man, I hate that guy.

And Lincoln was shot from a book warehouse, while Kennedy was shot by a bear in a whorehouse.

And Lincoln had a secretary named Kennedy, and Kennedy had a secretary named Lincoln!

Seriously though, cool thread. Interesting similarities

Re: The Prophecy

This will only come true if our new head coach, quarterback, and owner all show up in a crappy Pepsi Max commerical with Maui from season 2 of The Wire pretending to be our OC.

Speaking of that commercial, what the f*ck was Jones thinking?

"You take those, I'll take these."

I hope that's supposed to be funny, because could you imagine Snyder doing that to Saunders?

LOL! Nice.

By the way, an interesting thing about that commercial is the change they made to the original. In the original, Jones grabs the headphones and says, "C'mon, do I have to do everything around here?" For some reason they changed it to him tossing the bottle and saying, "You take this, I'll take these." Not sure why they made the change, or why I'm wasting time pointing out that they did.

Re: The Prophecy

I really, really hate it whe comparisons are made of our team to a 40 year old franchise. Our B&G is over 70 years old and is rich in history and glory!

I seriously doubt many dallas fans can sing all of the words to their fight song!

Maybe hate is not strong enough for those cow-not-quite-men!

They are simply not worthy!
