Looks like the guy never got off the 49ers practice squad.

Today's meaningless signing is tomorrow's 2 sacks to help clinch a playoff spot Chris Wilson

Re: Skins sign Tavares Washington OT
What the hell are we wasting our time on this guy for. What a waste of resources. Since we did it must be stupid.
There. I think I've covered the "We need a GM" crowd's initial objections.

Maybe they want to make him a guard, his size would be more suitable to that.

I would think from the Stephen Heyer signing we might would have learned our lesson?? Maybe this guy is a gem and just needs to be coached up by Buges (hopefully he sticks around for at least another year).

Re: Skins sign Tavares Washington OT
It's funny how people around here bitch about depth and finding talent but when the Skins pick up a "no-name" FA, people go through the roof. Remember Heyer was an undrafted Free Agent and he came in more than a little handy this season. It doesn't cost the team anything; why not.

First off season signing!!!
Give em props, they're not wasting any time. Let em audition as many cast offs or unheard of guys they can. Would be sweet if he makes the team, plus he's got the name for it! |

Re: Skins sign Tavares Washington OT
I would think a head coach would be job #1 in importance. I find it strange to start picking up players when there is not a head coach in place. Maybe its just me. I certainly cant disagree with depth at O line whether Ive heard of him or not though.

Re: Skins sign Tavares Washington OT
We know Snyder is busy looking for our next coach, but Vinny is bored and picking up cast off Linemen!

Re: Skins sign Tavares Washington OT
Just because there's no head coach in place it doesn't mean all football operations come grinding to a hault.
