Wiz knock off Celtics for the 2nd time in 3 days!
The Wiz did it again! They beat the Celtics for the second time in three nights, this time in Boston! For a city that has the Red Sox, the Patriots, and the best record in the NBA, boy did this make me smile! Go Wiz! I can't stop using exclamation points!!!!!!

that would be knock off, not knock "of" as the thread title says. oops. SS, you're a Wiz fan, maybe you can fix that for me....

Yeah it was a good game. Wiz were down 14 points in the 4th and still won. Butler looked amazing, but the X factor is Stevenson. When he is hot, we have been winning.
I am so happy we won. I don't mind Allen, but KG and Pierce are arrogant assholes. It is sweet to beat them at Boston.

Also we have been playing defense last few games, holding opponents to under 100. That is the best news for me.

Great win for the Zards. I agree with Hooskins, the defense has been really good lately. Thats been the difference (and having Antonio Daniels healthy).
Hopefully this is a sign of things to come. I wouldn't mind seeing them pull off 5-7 in a row. |

Good for the Wiz. I kinda like to see Boston do well because I've always liked Paul Pierce.
I think I need to start getting back into basketball. You can go to DC to see a game for the fraction of the cost of say a Redskins game. Too bad the new jerseys are terrible. I miss the Bullets!

Re: Wiz knock off Celtics for the 2nd time in 3 days!
I don't think this loss was a huge surprise. It was one of those dreaded emotional let down games that follow big wins. It happens, but hopefully the Wiz will rebound (no pun intended) and get back on the right track.
It's usually around this time of the year that I find myself watching the Wizards a couple of times a week so I really hope they catch fire. Tough Juice for MVP!

Not to mention that it was their 4th game in 5 days. Like you said, I'm sure they were emotionally and physically drained.

4th game in 5 days. Saw this one coming a mile away. I think Eddie Jordan did too. He was playing mostly reserves the entire first half. We play them again tomorrow from the Phone Booth. Look for an ass beating....

I am a big Celtics fan and congrads on your two wins. Looks like they came back to reality last night.
I can remeber watching Bird and Co. back in the day and we seemed to always lose to the Bullets it use to piss me off so much. those same feelings came back after the last two loses. |

Knicks stomped the Pistons on Sunday so they're on a roll
Seriously though, yeah it's not too surprising. NBA season is a marathon, not a sprint. We should bounce back.
