Seems pretty inocuous.

Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
I wouldn't say he ripped him, he was giving his honest assessment.

Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
He "ripped" Gibbs?
Where do you get that? Was it the part where he said he was a great leader and that they missed having his personality around? "Ripped", I think is quite a stretch. |

I don't get the ripped part. He was bragging on him as well.

Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
He said to see him struggle so badly over the past two years was tough.
He said it didn't work out with the Redskins and that he hoped Gibbs would stay to turn it around. That's really strange to voice that opinion about your new boss. How about sticking to racing!!!

So what he said is true and Gibbs has even said so. He also had a bunch of good things to say about Gibbs so no it was not a rip. Question: I'm not big into NSCAR but is Gibbs entire team nothing but Toyota? |

Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
Joe Gibbs Racing signed a huge deal with Toyota for the start of this season. Plus is that JGR is now the big dog for a manufacturer (always playing 3rd fiddle to Hendrick and Childress). Minus is that it's not an American manufacturer...at least most fans will see it that way.

Wow. There's a name I (thankfully) haven't heard in a while.

Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
Joe did turn it around, clearly. We now have more stability within this organization than ever before since Dan bough the team. And that in itself is a sucess, 2 of 4 years to the playoffs. Yea, no Super bowl but that life.
Joes work here is complete, of course we will all miss the GREAT COACH GIBBS. But I certainly don't see any reason to call that a rip at Joe from the article I read.

Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
New boss, old boss, still the boss...
Tony's just voicing his opinion about the situation. So what? No rips, just nothing but praise for the guy who gave him a chance to race stock cars when he was just a wet behind the ears open wheel driver.

Re: Tony Stewart rips Gibbs (in my view)
Last I checked Stewart drives a car for a living and doesn't score touchdowns or knock out MFs for a living.
I think I care less now that he is our former coach.
