Wow. I'm very happy that Blache will run the defense. This is good news. Who the heck will want to be the coach after all this I wonder?

I wanted Gregg Williams but this shows me Dan Snyder actually has some common sense. Not alot of it but it shows me he has enough to promote a guy that was deserving. I wanted Williams/Saunders/Blache but I guess we will have ?/Zorn/Blache. I dont know maybe Snyder has turned a corner. We all wanted Gregg WIlliams but Snyder hiring another deserving guy Blache as DC shows me maybe there is some hope for him.

I don't think there will be any less candidates (well maybe one less) for head coach. Blache will carry on the defensive tradition that has been put in place (there's your continuity), Zorn is a highly respected offensive candidate who was no doubtedly brought in to spark the growth of what has been a fairly stagnant offense for years. I think it's all good news.

LOL. True we did live through Spurrier. I think what gets me is that Snyder hasn't change, and he's the X factor in our team's misfortunes.

Re: Official press release from SKINS Blache and Zorn to take over OC/DC.
According to the article Greg Williams has been fired.
I guess Snyder thinks Blache is a better coach? Snyder was qouted as saying he is listening to the advice from coaches he is interviewing from other teams. Not sure I agree with that. Rival coaches do not want to see us do better. My main concern with this rather strange and process is we are really limiting ourselves as to the HC position. The new incoming coach is going to have accept Zorn and Blache running his to most important units. I do not know of any stong HC canidate that would accept that unless the guy is desperate for a job. The other possiblity is we already have an under the table agreement with one of the coaches in the Superbowl and he was ok with Zorn and Blache. This entire process is not ideal. |

I bet the HC has been in place for a couple days already, and that HC gave snyder the go ahead on the coordinators. The Head Coach will probably be announced later today, no way is snyder going to get coordinators the head coach doesn't want. I bet its going to be Fassel too.
