Re: GW Lead Candiate 4 Jaguars DC
I think GW will probably end up JAX as they say. It just seems right. Our defense was good last year and with JAX lacking a DC, it's perfect.
I'd say it's inked by Wednesday.

I wish GW the VERY BEST! I wish they could have worked it out here! I think we lost a really good coach & a great man! No matter what he won't be without work long, either way.

Re: GW Lead Candiate 4 Jaguars DC
I wonder if our new DC was asked if he would stay and be the DC or if he was simply promoted. I could almost see the whole defensive staff walking with GW to the Jags.

Re: GW Lead Candiate 4 Jaguars DC
It's possible they walk with him after ST death the defense bonded made plays to carry us to the playoffs I bet all the assistants & players are pretty pissed right now that this team is dismantled.

I'll follow the sentiment, I wish GW nothing but the best unless he is playing us...guy was huge for us and I absolutley loved watching our defensive schemes the past 3/4 years. Good Luck Gregg.

Re: GW Lead Candiate 4 Jaguars DC
After living in Gainesville, Fl for 8 years I got kinda soft on the Jags. Plus they have 4 or 5 Gators on the team. I wish nothing but the best for Gregg, and I'd love to see him get that job.

Re: GW Lead Candiate 4 Jaguars DC
Jacksonville would be a great fit - I hope he takes it. I would hate to see Williams land in our own division. It would be bad karma for The Danny if Williams ended up with the Giants and tortured us twice each season.

I really hope he gets the job too, I've got nothing but respect for him for what he's done for us and I think it would be a good fit for him.

If the Jags are lucky enough to get GW, he will make that organization proud of that hire!

Re: GW Lead Candiate 4 Jaguars DC
It is kind of ironic that the Jags would be everything that JG wanted the Skins to be: an offense built on stud running backs with a QB who manages games and makes no mistakes, and a big aggressive, shut-down defense.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but Comcast Sportsnet is reporting that Al Saunders is already in St. Louis to interview for the OC position.

Re: GW Lead Candiate 4 Jaguars DC
I'd be willing to bet Williams takes the year off. He's pretty close to the Washington community and may want to remain close by while his kids finish up school.
I did have a crazy theory that he didn't want the Skins coaching job at all and that Snyder and Cerrato were trying to persuade him to reconsider (4 interviews). Of course, it doesn't make sense not to just outright say "I don't want the job" unless he feels the players may take it as a slight.
