-- Zorn to Talk to Lloyd Before Cutting Him --
The Washington Post reports a source said the Redskins don't believe the Cincinnati Bengals will trade WR Chad Johnson. One possibility on the roster is WR Brandon Lloyd, the former high-priced acquisition who fell into disfavor under former HC Joe Gibbs. Lloyd could be a candidate to be released, but HC Jim Zorn said he'd like to speak to Lloyd first. "He's fresh on my mind because he's fairly new to the program," Zorn said. "He hasn't had success for whatever reason, injury or lack of opportunity. But I'd sure like to sit down with him and talk and see what his mind-set is and where he's at."

Let him go.
He's an overpaid bust. Don't let Cerrato off the hook for that one!

Re: -- Zorn to Talk to Lloyd Before Cutting Him --
what if Zorn decides to keep him? maybe Lloyd can pull a 360 and have a great season.

not to harp on a common mistake, but a 360 brings you back to your initial starting point...its a 180 that we're looking for...

My philosophy is, the son of a b*tch is going to get paid whether he plays or not...at least if we can get him playing he's earning his money...
I've always though deactivating a problem player is the stupidest move you can make... Coach - "Because your whining we are not going to let you play!!" Player - "So I get to get paid to do nothing?...uh ok"

NFL Preview: Al Saunders on the attack for Redskins | HamptonRoads.com | PilotOnline.com From the article: The two players Saunders thought offered the best chance to make that happen: San Francisco's Brandon Lloyd and Pittsburgh's Antwaan Randle El. In mid-March, Washington traded for Lloyd and signed Randle El. "He pushed hard for them," said Bob Saunders, Al's son and a Redskins assistant. "Everyone knows what Brandon can do on the football field, his speed, the acrobatic catches. With Randle El, it's what he can do in the slot, the double moves, his cutting ability. Getting them really expanded the offense."

Re: -- Zorn to Talk to Lloyd Before Cutting Him --
give him one more chance, but if we could get a draft pick for him, like a 4th rounder I say we try and do that. But if we keep him and he doesn't produce, 3 strikes your out

Not possible.
Act like a jackass after being paid that much darn money? And I'm paying a tiny % every ticket I buy? Screw Lloyd. He's got NO excuses. Send him packing like Archuleta.

Re: -- Zorn to Talk to Lloyd Before Cutting Him --
It never occurred to me until now that there was any way he could be on the roster next year, but this actually isn't a terrible idea. The more I think about it, and I can't believe I'm saying this, the more I think it could work. If Zorn can get him to buy into the program he could be a dangerous threat in his offense.
