Any DMV Experts?
Here's the situation...
I'm buying a used car from an individual. They have a loan. I am getting a loan for their current loan amount. My bank is going to pay off their bank. The car will effectively be mine at that point, but my bank says it could take up to three weeks for them to receive the title from the seller's bank. Does anyone know if I would be able to register the car during that time? Maybe with temp tags? I would have a bill of sale that I could take to the DMV for this purpose. My bank is based in Texas and is not familiar w/ VA DMV procedures. I'm in Virginia. Anyone been in this situation before?

Re: Any DMV Experts?
You could call DMV and wiat on hold for an hour or you could go by a DMV and wait for 1 1/2 hour to get an answer to you question. Thats about all I know about DMV. They are very very SLOOWWWWWWW. Hey try going on line and see if they have anything there.

Re: Any DMV Experts?
I imagine the DMV would issue you temporary tags while this transition was going on...but I don't live in Virginia, and their website is kinda hard to search...
