Draft Grades: USA Today
GRADE: B
• Washington Redskins: Wanted to trade their No. 1 pick for established WR but instead bailed out of the round to give themselves more choices than the nine with which they went into the draft. Then got WR Devin Thomas at the top of the second round. Thomas, a junior college transfer, only had the one solid season at Michigan State. WR Malcolm Kelly fell quite a bit but may be better than Thomas. TE Fred Davis was tops at his position on many boards. QB Colt Brennan could be fun to watch. Wait 'til you see the guys we bring in as UDRFAs. We're having a good offseason and there's always the possibility of bringing in a vet to bolster the OL and DL. When you really look at it, how many teams make the playoffs or win games in the postseason with as many injuries we had on offense?

My local paper gave the Skins an A, and the only other A was the Chiefs, who I thought hands down had the best draft.

We don't need a VET in the receiving Corps, dump Tharsh, McKardell and all the rest of the trash and go with the youth in thisi area.

Absolutely. I hate guys that get first downs and are in position to help the QB. Who wants a guy that run accurate routes and catch the ball? We need a bunch of under 23 guys who are boom or bust and have no grasp of the NFL game. Westbrook and Jacobs were misunderstood! Sign Syndric Steptoe and Derek Stanley. They are young and unemployed!

How do you know they have no grasp of the game?

Fun to watch? I can't wait until next January when Cerrato and everyone else gets fired. Cerrato just wasted 10 picks on a bunch of losers. That may very well go down as the worst draft for a team in the history of the NFL. We'll be luck if any of them even make the team.

Just simply put a round number with your corresponding pick next to it, and you may want to leave that stupid trade that we made to get and extra second rounder out since you probably would have never been that dumb....(please pick up on my sarcasm). Since you’re so disgusted this should be easy for you as you should know who was on the board when we made all of our selections. I look forward to seeing your draft! |
