President George Bush: 'Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter'
WTF?
The American leader, who has been condemned throughout his presidency for failing to tackle climate change, ended a private meeting with the words: "Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter." link: President George Bush: 'Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter' - Telegraph |

Re: President George Bush: 'Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter'
This was the point. China and to an extent, India, are the big polluters and the fastest growing industrial economies to boot. And they are not held to the same standard--which is why the Kyoto treaty was night signed. He made a tongue-in-cheek remark about the villainization of America. And I love his candor.

It's been a bizarre 8 years that's for sure. I'm not even surprised anymore.

Re: President George Bush: 'Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter'
Yeah, probably not the most presidential thing to say amongst world leaders. But, it is all too apparent to see it as a back-handed remark. Some haters like to see it for something that it is not. I say, "too bad for them".

LOL...He seems to have a "blast" at G8 meetings. This one is funny because it reminds me of "So long, and thanks for all the fish."

Re: President George Bush: 'Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter'
Why do you hate America so much? China is the biggest polluter and that's all we need to know.

Re: President George Bush: 'Goodbye from the world's biggest polluter'
This has got to be from the onion right? I could believe he uttered the quip but punching the air? Come on! No president would punch the air at a g8 meeting.
