Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Week 3)
Not much to say this week, but here goes
Devin Thomas: You're only three games into your NFL career. You haven't earned the right to get away with push-offs. I liked what I saw overall from you though. Once you play smarter, I expect big numbers from you. Fred Smoot: Where's the fire you played with at the end of last year? I don't think you're as talented as either Springs or Rogers but you always played as tough as them. I'm not seeing it this year. SmootSmack: You decide not to start Larry Fitzgerald in your $$ fantasy league, sticking to your tradition of never starting a player who is playing the Redskins and it costs you the win, a 3-0 start and sole posession of first place. Was it really worth it?

HEYER - Your first pancake block of the season comes with a 15 yard penalty and cost us a TD. Now, do it while you are really in the play.

SS I'd like to add something to the list. Consistency. I want to see our offense be consistent. After the first drive of the game there was a period where we didn't do much offensively, up until the third quarter. If we expect to compete against Dallas we need to have a great game offensively and be consistent.

Re: Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Week 3)
I might get flamed for these, but oh well.
Zorn: The Brooks tongue lashing during the last few minutes of the game was well... lame. You've had several meltdowns on the sideline already and my fear is that you allow your emotions to get the best of you. I appreciate the passion, but you are responsible for setting the tone. Learn to pick your moments. Besides, no one thought Swishy would make it anyway. He loves to shank it left. The fans and the media: Every ounce of praise heaped on Zorn shouldn't automatically be followed with a criticism of Gibbs. It's getting old already. |

I hadn't noticed any others either and I think Brooks deserved it this time around. As a holder you are responsible to see if the official is still over the ball which would prevent you from kicking the ball, he didnt do that. In essence as Zorn said in his press conference, we iced our own kicker.

As far as Brooks goes, it was the amount of time he spent berating him. We're in the last few minutes of the game. I think he should have been more focused on other things at that point. I don't want a completely stoic coach, but I don't want one who flies off the handle at any given moment either. |

or the dumbass that started the Giants D/ST (vs. Bengals = 6 pts) instead of the Titans D/ST (vs. Houston = 20 pts).

Re: Smoot Lays The Smack Down (Week 3)
I would say typical for an NFL rookie that just scored his FIRST NFL TD.
