Re: Campbell/Portis/Moss
I think we all or at least most expected good things from CP & Moss. The biggest standout is the step JC has/is taking to this point. This is outstanding to see him starting out the season the way we all wanted to him progress.
The steps every week JC is taking for the club are HUGE.

Re: Campbell/Portis/Moss
With the talent these three guys have, these are the kind of numbers they SHOULD be putting up, and it is about friggin time we see it. Nothing against Gibbs, he did a phenomenal job shaping this franchise, but Jim Zorn must be doing something right.
Well he's doing a lot right. He coached JC up on the fundamentals allowing his physical abilities to manifest into production, and taught him to avoid turnovers (How about his fumble he recovered before it hit the ground!!!! All I can say is Wow!). His play calling is unpredictable, and utilizes our key players, and he really seems to know how to keep his team calm, focused, and fired up. Also the team seems to be fairly disciplined; I mean we've had players make bonehead mistakes (Casey Rabach), but all in all it seems like when this team has a glaring discipline issue, it is immediately corrected. If not within the game then certainly by the next week. Im stirring up some KoolAid and if we beat Philly next week I'll start handing it out!!! |

I mean, I think on a pass play you can't block downfeild at all, but I can't blame the guy too much either way, bc it seems like he thought JC was gonna run it in and so he started blocking for him. The penalty before that was definitely deserved though. |

It was the right call, but I don't blame Rabach too much for that one. The holding call against him was kinda iffy too.

Re: Campbell/Portis/Moss
In addition to the much deserved accolades to Campbell, Portis, and Moss, Coach Zorn deserves a huge pat on the shoulder pads. He called a great game and while he still appears to look overwhelmed by the whole experience, he got it done. Holly shit, The Skins beat 'Da Boyz in their own house! Congrats Washington Redskins, you could be on the threshold of a very special season. Who'd have thunk it?

Re: Campbell/Portis/Moss
Yeah I hear you on that. Here come the "Team to beat", "Cinderella Story", and the "I never thought I would say this...." shows on ESPN, NFL Network, and everywhere else. I really wish they would wait a couple more weeks to start it though.

Re: Campbell/Portis/Moss
Trevor Matich just said you can block someone past 1 yard on a pass play but once you are no longer engaged with the guy you are blocking, you have to take a knee. Rabach just stood there.

What are Cooley's stats? He's been great too.

Re: Campbell/Portis/Moss
I don't know if they've updated since the game but according to NFL.com 17 catches for 179 yards 0 TD's. Which isn't bad, but its certainly not as impressive. I will say though, his blocking has improved substantially in the past three weeks since smoked in NY. |

How 'bout them Miami U boys? Gotta give some love to Rocky too- worked hard in the offseason to rehab and now he's all over the place.
