Bitter Fan - No shooshing!
<vent>
Ok. Was anyone else at the game yesterday that was as irritated as I was by the constant 'shooshing' by the PA announcer when the Skins were on offense? Why did he start that crap. We have been doing this fan thing longer than most and I am pretty sure we know what to do when the team is on the field. Every time he would do that I would just become more and more PO'd in a game that was clearly not going to go well. It is one thing to watch your offense play like children, another to be treated like one by the freakin stadium announcer loser. </vent> |

Re: Bitter Fan - No shooshing!
I've always hated the announcer at Fed Ex Field treating knowledgable Skins fans like idiots. Until very recently, he would always announce that it's time to get loud on opponents' 3rd downs, as if we don't already know that. The guy needs to give the fans some credit, and stop trying to play cheerleader.

Re: Bitter Fan - No shooshing!
I disagree...I have a problem when people are loud while the offense is in the huddle or at the line of scrimmage. It detracts from the home field advantage.
I agree that the announcer should not be telling the fans when to get loud though. I don't think Redskins fans need any help knowing when to get loud.

100% agreed- we don't need the lesson, plus its not like there is a shortage of "retired" players in the stands that aren't motioning their hands downwards to quiet everyone down.

Exactly, we know the drill. There are always a few people that never get it, but you can't get through to them anyway. As long as they can hear on the field, it is fine. But the slap in the face of the shoosh was just insult to injury yesterday. And yes, I remember the old "it's third down - make some noise" schtick that guy used to do. Nice to see some folks agree with me at least!
