Will Portis Get 2,000 Rushing Yards?
Dr. Do Itch Big is a beast dude is my favorite RB, and the reason why I'm a skin fan today. I have a feeling he will destroy the record books this season. I'm not going to lie when Zorn said he believe Portis could put up 1,800 I was like yeah ok I though he might have lost a step before the season started. But I see I was wrong and I believe he can put up 2,000 and can receive MVP honors this year.

Cp is on pace for 1,800. He'll need to pick it up some to get to 2,000.

I don't know about 2,000 yards but I do think you're a jinx

1,800 is a possibility, but no way he makes 2,000. Let's not forget that we just finished one of the "easiest" 3 game stretches in the league.

Re: Will Portis Get 2,000 Rushing Yards?
If I only had a magic ball......I would give you the answer. But I don't.
But his 1st half sure is sweet. I think this is the best year hes ever had in this league and certainly could end up being very special, if he remains healthy.

Re: Will Portis Get 2,000 Rushing Yards?
he would have to pick up the pace to get 2,000 but I think 1650-1850 os a realistic possibility all depends on how much he gets against Pittsburgh next week

Re: Will Portis Get 2,000 Rushing Yards?
He'll definately get a lot of yards untill Betts comes back. I think we're starting to see why no one wanted Alexander when he was available. That guy runs way to soft.

Re: Will Portis Get 2,000 Rushing Yards?
I seriously doubt it. I'm going to go with 1,600 yds for Portis. I think the pounding he's been taking is going to catch up with him.

Re: Will Portis Get 2,000 Rushing Yards?
I hope he takes it easy and gives rock and sellers some carries. We are going to need Portis later in the season if we make the playoffs.

Re: Will Portis Get 2,000 Rushing Yards?
Agreed. I think one thing we should consider when giving Portis some rest is a two tight set with Yoder as the second TE and Sellers as the RB. Sellers has been itching to get the ball for years and with tip toe Alexander in the back field we're going to need a battering ram not named Portis.

Re: Will Portis Get 2,000 Rushing Yards?
He's on pace for 1,888.
I'll say he'll end up around 1,650 - 1,700. |

Re: Will Portis Get 2,000 Rushing Yards?
No he won't. He's got 3 division games + pittsburgh left, and will average only 60yds per game in those contests. Even 1800 is a stretch. I don't care about Portis' stats though, just want him to get us to the playoffs and be healthy when we get there.
