Here's some highlights:
-He praised Washington, Pierce and Griffin right off the bat, praised the D especially the second half effort -Stressed mental errors and inconsistency on offense, 'can't play like that', 'gotta play smarter' -can't turn the ball over and win -Special teams stepped up -Said guys played hard and kept swinging, some guys were hurt and wouldn't come out, said tape it up -Brunell is day to day, Brunell said he doesn't know, should know more by Thursday -Someone asked if he would consider Hasselbeck, he immediately said 'No' -Said he's fed up with people saying he makes all the difference, said players make the difference and making great plays makes the difference. -It was a real positive that despite how bad the offense played the team was still in it til the end -Patrick made some plays, said he has 'everything', can't find anyone tougher or with a better arm, he's smart... whole team just needs to play better. -He questioned the false start call on Samuels, said 'no way', 'bad call' -Daniels out 2 weeks is his guess -Hall will probably be ok -Special teams kickoff coverage was better, punt coverage still needs work -He's not looking forward to Dallas, Monday Night and the Cowboys, not much else to say about that -Not giving away his parking spot this week, only after a win -Praised Ray Brown, glad they got him. Kenyatta missed some work with a 'fat ankle' this week, could have played but they decided to go with Brown |

Yeah, I thought the Samuels comment was interesting. It's not often you'll hear Gibbs openly questioning the officiating. I think he even said Samuels was late in moving, right?

I tell you, I have that game on tape. There is no way in hell that was a false start. It could have been on the other side or somthing. I agree though, it was actually a poor play by Samuels cause he was slow moving off the ball. I dont know, we had our chances so wahtever.

I didn't hear him commit to anyone either. I just thought he said if not Brunell then Ramsey but not that Brunell was a definite no

I heard Gibbs today on his radio show say that Ramsey is indeed starting Monday. He also said that he believes in Ramsey, and that they are working on Ramsey improving his "check downs". Gibbs sounded very positive about Ramseys situation.

So it looks like Daniels is out 2-4 weeks according to Redskins.Com. Do we bring back Upshaw?

Hasselbeck is the guy I want to see given a real shot at the helm, but for right now, it would be better to start Ramsey. I think he needs to play himself out of the job or into it as the case may be. Gibbs should back Ramsey for the time being so he isn't looking over his shoulder.
I hope Ramsey succeeds. He does have a lot of talent and intelligence. I think that Gibbs will make the right choice about who to start. |

I was going more off of the radio show and reports I have heard. Not from the press conference if that is confusing anyone.

The way I understood it is that most likely, Patrick will be starting. The only way he won't is if Brunell practices this week without any issues from the injury, which is possible, but not probable.
Also, yeah, Samuels did not move early on that play.....I got the impression that there was a false start, but they called it on the wrong guy (maybe Dockery?) |
