Good lord the Wizards have the worst luck.
5th. Ugggg. I would have bet my house that they'd end up with the 5th pick. It's their luck.

Man, I had my money ready for a gold and black Blake Griffin jersey. That sucks.

I gotta think we're looking to trade that pick. Maybe an international exchange for Bosh?

Smootsmack - this would be the first awesome if it happened - Bosh would be a nice piece to the puzzle and since he has already said he will not resign with Toronto that Raptors may as well get something for him now. If not Bosh than maybe somehow someway they Wiz can pry Amare Stoudamire from the Suns, but Phoenix seems willing to try one more year to see if they can get going. Although with Amare his injury would be a big issue since Arenas is an unknown factor with injuries now. |

I feel your pain, the Celtics have had the worst luck in the lottery it seems as well. I think the NBA lottery is just plain dumb to be honest.

Re: Good lord the Wizards have the worst luck.
I do too. I think the lottery should be the bottom 5 teams and they draw for the top spot only. Right now it really seems unfair how every year the worst teams don't get the top spots.

The lottery is one of the dumbest things I have ever seen. The worst team should get the #1 pick, no questions asked! Meaning that the Wiz should have got pick #2. So hypothetically speaking, we all know the Clippers are going to take Griffin, who would you want with the #2 pick if you had it?

I think you dont see this problem with football because one rookie normally isn't gamebreaking with a 53 man roster. In basketball one player can really make a difference. |

Re: Good lord the Wizards have the worst luck.
No, I don't care if teams tank it. They already suck, so tanking 5 games or so means squat. If the commish thinks they truely tanked it, then fine the team for doing so, but don't hurt the teams that actually NEED that pick. The lottery doesn't help the teams that the draft is designed to help with. The problem is these teams that suck need a great player to lead them, the problem is NOT teams tanking games. The focus needs to be redirected.

Re: Good lord the Wizards have the worst luck.
Wasn't the lottery started because teams were tanking games at the end of the season for the #1 spot?
