What position to draft for next season?
i think we need a real fatty alongside griffin. i like salevea' but i want a young gilbert brown or ted washy in there. i would also like a medium sized DE to have a speed rush to the outside yet stable enough to with hold the run.
#1. DE ...we need some outside rush and take less pressure off our back seven #4. DT ...a younger fatter run stuffer to free up griffin for pass and rush D #6. HB ... betts doesnt seem to run like i would like and seems to be inj'd often #7. C ... we need a true center to back up raymer and friedman is not it what do you guys think we should look for... and do we need to keep as much draft picks as possible this offseason? i say we do and dont let this thread seem like im giving up on us... its always something i like to predict and its fun IMO |

1) Defensive Lineman, I agree a good, young DE and DT are needed.
2) Strong Safety - one that is good at both the run and pass. Bowen is a great blitzer, but he is not very good against the pass. 3) Offensive line- Derek Dockery better start to show something or he should be replaced. You only hear his name when he makes a mistake. You never see a camera isolation of him running someone over. He is kind of soft, not real aggresive. 4) Running back - need a big back. Goal line and short yardage back. 5) Kick Returner - it is time to get rid of Chad Morton. He is over paid. 6) Tightend - need an all a round great TE, not just a situational one. |

We'll have plenty of time to discuss this stuff after the season. Why don't we let the rest of the season play out before we start replacing guys?

If we're going D-Line I want to see a trade. John Abraham may be a free-agent next year. JET RAID 2k5!

I still don't regret getting Taylor, at all. He's going to be a monster very soon. |

but as far as looking at next years draft, I know I personally am not ready to give up on this season. That being said we need either a good young de or dt, a ss, and or a solid back up running back who is more of a powerback. I am still high on Chris Canty of UVA who will slip a bit in the draft because of his injury and would be worth taking and possibly around in either the later part of the second or 4th rounds. plus it wouldn't hurt to draft another center and/or guard. |

A big bruser of a RB that could be a good 1/2 punch with Portis' slashing style.
