Reputation of Sherman Lewis- our new play caller
Does anyone have any information on Sherman Lewis's reputation as a play caller?
One of the last questions during Zorn's press conference today was that Lewis has a bad terrible reputation as a play caller. I'm so excited that he is our new play caller. |

Perfect, I forgot about that brilliant Vinny move. Vinny is the best...."Danny, I gotta idea, Dock has a roomate, 450+ lbs, from a sorry ass Buffalo team, 3-4 years ago last played...." After that, Vinny gets on Redskins Live at 6:00 and tells the fans that our draft stratgy has changed do to this signing(that allowed us to draft 2 linebackers who will never see the field).

Re: Reputation of Sherman Lewis- our new play caller
He knows the WCO very well, he coached RB, WR and was offensive coordinator for Holmgren. All my years living here in San Francisco and watching him move up the coaching ladder, the guy paid his dues and was highly regarded by Bill Walsh and Holmgren. My concern is he's 5 years out of the game.

Re: Reputation of Sherman Lewis- our new play caller
Yeah...what the hell happened to "He'll just be an extra set of eyes"???
Not that I believed that, but that was the story that was told to Skins fans that we were supposed to drink up and believe. Now he is coaching during the game? Everyone on this board and in the media said that Sherman was going to be the transistion to a new coach. Why doesn't the front office just say Sherman is going to be the transitional intrum coach, Zorn obviously doesn't mind. I don't believe any press release that comes from this front office. I don't know why anyone would give them credibility.

Re: Reputation of Sherman Lewis- our new play caller
Here is a transcript of the last time Sherm Lewis called plays: "...G-67, G-67. B-3, B-3. I-31, I-31. Oh wait, it looks like Gladys in the back may be our big winner!"
Maybe he wasn't calling plays per se.

Re: Reputation of Sherman Lewis- our new play caller
Hey, that's kind of like QB coach to NFL head coach in 2 weeks.
Dan should really consider a "bachelor" or "apprentice" style reality show, where people compete for the job of Redskins QB and/or head coach.

Re: Reputation of Sherman Lewis- our new play caller
From what I gathered he is a Mike Holmgren guy and Mike always called the plays.
