hello Redskins fans
Joe Gibbs here, one of my players suggested I check out this website in my spare time so thought I'd drop in to say hello and address some of your concerns.
First off, I just got back in to Redskins Park after another long night in the submarine, probably had about 4 hours of sleep. The coaches and I are really working hard to get this thing figured out. I know you guys are really questioning Mark right now but trust me, he's going to be fine. He's been nicked up but he should be as close to 100% as he can get for the game this weekend. A lot of his struggles are due to things that are happening behind the scenes and aren't obvious to someone sitting at home, breakdowns in protections, poor routes and timing, etc. The entire offensive unit needs to improve, Mark isn't the only source of our problems. We've worked really hard during this bye week to make some adjustments and work on pass protections, and I think we'll see a lot of improvement against Green Bay. Hang with me Redskins fans, I'm in this for the long run and this season is far from over. -Joe Gibbs |

Hello Coach Gibbs. I am one of the few who has not questioned your decision to hang in there with Mark Brunell in lew of the new system. I have not wavered on the Brunell topic because it is very easy to blame the QB, but pass protection still tops my list for the success of this team as we prepare for Green Bay. It was clear to me that Mark has not healed from that nagging hamstring injury but he still was able to move around to avoid the sack. I see us coming off of the bye week with a greater committment to close games out with effective offensive plays and good field position from our special teams in that effort. With the Giants, Cowboys loss we are right back in the race. In Gibbs's We Trust.

Is this for real? The fact that he said one of my players suggested I come here and address your concerns makes me very suspicious.

Be very suspicious.... Gibbs would never volunteer how many hours of sleep he gets.
He would be coaching his team at 9:44 AM... or consoling the Hendricks Racing Team. This isn't Gibbs. |

Sometimes you have to play along to appear totally absorbed with the man and the legend.
Gibbs wouldn't respond to any website that said his QB sucked/

Of course it's a farce. You would have to be awfully gullible to believe it was real. Joe Gibbs would not shy away from addressing critical fans, though. But this is certainly not the way he would choose to do it. It would be via a press conference or a scheduled interview. And it would take a hell of a lot more than silly posts on a board like this to draw him out.
Maybe we should have a poll on who you think made the post. Looking at the thread, I nominate Sunra LOL.

LOL. I sent Matty a message asking if he knew who it was. I'm not that clever, but thanks for the suggestion.
