skins v chargers
well i think this one could get ugly, i doubt anyone will be on the bench for the chargers they are red hot right now and wanna keep that going into the playoffs, maybe i'm wrong but i see norv sticking it right in snyders face and blowing us out this weekend, i really just don't see how this redskins team can hang with this chargers team at all
chargers 35 skins 17 and i expect zorn to be fired at his post game presser

Re: skins v chargers
fired during his presser? as entertaining as that would be, i dont see it happening. i think Zorn will be fired sometime after the team returns home following the game.
I fully expect the chargers to bench most of their starters while Zorn will try to go out on a high note and pull out every "trick" he has in his book. i think the skins will actually win this meaningless game and put us in a position to draft 8th instead of 5th. skins 24 chargers 13

Re: skins v chargers
The Chargers don't have anything to play for right? Skins could win this one. As for Zorn he will last until Mon. morning.

Re: skins v chargers
Turner said Monday that the Chargers will prepare as they always do, with no plans to rest healthy starters. He did say that some who've been playing with injuries might get a rest.
LaDainian Tomlinson, for one, enjoyed laying around all weekend, watching games on TV "and just having nothing to do." This Sunday, though, he wants to play. "Yeah, I do," he said. "With us having the bye I think it would be good for us to get out and play. We will have a whole week to rest next week. Just to keep the rhythm of how we are playing, I think that is important. I think the only way guys shouldn't play is if they are injured or battling something that needs rest. If you are healthy, why sit out?" Re: skins v chargers
SD goes up big early then sits their starters, the Skins starters mount a comeback against SD's scrubs but come up short.

Re: skins v chargers
well if the chargers play their starters, we may get our #5 overall pick after all.

Domination...if the pitiful G men put us away in the fashion they did, I really don't want to see what an elite team can put up against us
38-10 Chargers

Re: skins v chargers
This will be the first time I can remember where our local area (Tidewater, Virginia Beach-Chesapeake-Norfolk) network has preempted the Redskins game so that we can see Philly vs. Dallas.
Can't really say that I'm disappointed. |

Re: skins v chargers
Are you saying they are not going to show the game or might switch at some point over to that game? They switched over once back in the early 90's and had so many mad phone calls switched back to the skins. Even last year they thought about not showing the game to sho the Dallas/Philly game but too many people complained.

Re: skins v chargers
Despite what they may say now, I would bet they will sit their starters at the half.

Re: skins v chargers
As far as who the Chargers decide to rest -- the odds would be pretty much even since our "starters" are the equivalent of every other teams' backups.
