Sean Taylor in drunk tank
Redskins rookie Sean Taylor is sitting in the drunk tank in Fairfax County, VA, possibly for DWI; this according to multiple callers on DC101's "Elliot in the Morning" radio show, who claim to have witnessed Taylor being brought to the detention center by a Virginia State Trooper in Fairfax County, Virginia.

I'm Glad you report, Joe!
I'm in Southside Va., and unable to listen to D.C. radio, except in the 4:30 p.m. - 5:10 p.m. hour drive home! The Post, and the Times only tell me what Redskins.com tells me!
Thanks Joe! You are the best! Although the news is bad! Real bad! Doesn't this also mean a substance abuse penalty by the NFL?

man.... MAN... no jansen, no bowen, no lavar, probably no daniels or barrow, now no taylor???
half our starting D would be sidelined... i actually doubt the nfl would act fast enough to knock him from this game, but it's most definately not a good story to wake up to... |

Drunk tank doesn't mean DWI. Let's just wait to see what happens.

I used to live in Northern Virginia (Cop Central) and I have never lived in a state/area that has so many police and camera/ticket devices at every intersection. It is excessive. It is one thing to say you are protecting our safety and keeping the roads safe, but in Northern Virginia's case it is all about money and writing tickets. The percentage of police writing tickets as opposed actually fighting crime is large. Here in Texas you can pass a cop on a 55mph highway at 65-70 mph and they do not pull you over. Cops here are out to stop real crimes not slow down traffic and create more traffic backups. Sorry about my rant. Sean Taylor is young and made a mistake. He will take care of it. |

I live in Northern VA, and yes it is rediculous. I'm scared to drive home after 2 beers. |

I heard it on the Sports Junkies on WHFS, and people were calling in left and right talking about how hammered he was. I think it was Rod Gardners b-day and they were out celebrating in DC at a club called "Home".
Very dissapointing.. |

The NFL may not suspend him, but Gibbs may.

Guys, you're forgetting something. He's rich. Unless you kill someone you get off the hook (hell, even if you do kill someone, right RayRay?)
I'm sure his lawyers will find some sort of slip up by the arresting officer like McNair did or he'll just plead for money and community service. There's one thing I've learned seeing friends go through the legal system. When you have money, you don't have problems. |

I agree it's not a huge bump in the road, after all he didn't kill anyone like Leonard Little (and he's still playing!)
Still, it's disappointing to hear. He still has some growing up to do. |

God, this guy is unbelievable! It's not like I've ever gotten in trouble for excess drinking. Oh yeah, never mind.

My question is: Will Gibbs let him play this Sunday? And what will the NFL do about it?
