Re: Jason campbells trade value
No. I think Jason has next to no trade value. His performance toward the end of the season was pretty abysmal, factoring out the awful line and lack of a legitimate RB. He made bad decisions. Collins comes in a tosses the pigskin 30 yds downfield for an immediate completion when Jason couldn't do so all game long. I think Jason lost millions of dollars over the last several games of the season.

Re: Jason campbells trade value
I think teams that need a QB and don't want to give a high draft pick on a QB teams like the browns raiders bills rams seahawks and the 49ers I can see the skins getting a good pick for him

Re: Jason campbells trade value
Keep him, give JC an O-line and a fast RB (Aldridge) he'll be OK.

I just don't see any trade value. Someone might want a 2nd stringer. I remember hearing JC's interview about if he will be back and he said something like he see's himself as a starter. I wondered if his bubble would be burst if teams only saw him as a backup. I think Rock had his bubble burst when he tried the open market and didn't get any bites. So he stayed for the amount offered. |

Re: Jason campbells trade value
I like how everyone is answering that JC has zero trade value and yet it seems that everyone wants to keep him as our starting QB.

Re: Jason campbells trade value
It's going to be hard to trade anyone with the possibility of a work stoppage in 2011. Furthermore, Campbell is the best option right now until we can develop a QB or until we have a team good enough that a rookie can come in and have success (like Flacco or Sanchez).

I've said it before, Jason Campbell is one of the most difficult QB's to evaluate mainly because of the many unsettling circumstances within the teams framework that make a fair and unbiased evaluation virtually impossible. One cannot argue that his numbers have improved each year he has been the starting QB, and there has to be some value in progress. I don't think they will trade Campbell even if it is their intention to draft a QB for the future. Despite Campbells' shortcomings, he does have value if you look at his numbers in comparison. Speculation will continue to run rampant however until the draft, free agency and all other pre-season evaluations have been exhausted. |

Re: Jason campbells trade value
I think JC has some real trade value although it is hard to put a number on it. Maybe a #3 or #4. For all of his failings, he has a lot of starting experience and has had some success. There are some teams for whom he might be an upgrade as a starter. He would be a valued #2 for most teams.

Re: Jason campbells trade value
I think it hard to evaluate him to give him any trade value but with better pieces around him he might be worth keeping.
