Pierce Interview.
He said that since we wanted Mark Brunell we better stick by him and never hear a boo in Fedex again.
I'm sorry, but a large majority of people in this town did NOT want Mark Brunell, and many supported it because Gibbs is some sort of genius who knows what he's doing. I think our defense has to be upset they play so hard and so well but our offense can't throw them a bone. |

if you don't get the job done (brunell) that's one thing. BUT...... when you get paid a bagillion dollars and suck it up this friggin' bad, you DESERVE every single boo and probably desevere a few MILLION more.

Antonio's play has been great, but who is he to tell the fans weather or not too boo. Hes getting paid a fortune to be their on Sundays, while the fans have to shell out a fortune to be their on Sundays. If I was there today when Brunell was throwing that bulls--t around, I'd boo too.

I think Antonio was just frustrated and in his own way, he's showing that he's not goig to be one of the nah sayer players who point fingers, but would rather play as a team. Of course, heck I don't agree with him either on the booing part. I mean, I was watching Pittsburgh's rookie QB complete accurate low percentage passes tonight. Brunell just isn't playing up to the money.

I think where Pierce is coming from is when the other team hears the home team fan's boo, it demoralizes the home team, and pumps up the opposition, because the opposition is thinking........look their own fans think they suck, and the home team is thinking, no faith in us...........
In otherwords folks, you're helping the opposition.................. |

I agree cpayne, Pierce's comment says to me this team is sticking together no matter what. The fans and/or the media aren't going to shove a wedge between any of the units. It's definitely a huge positive that the team is sticking together and not resorting to calling each other out.

You do not boo your home team. Period. No matter how bad they are. All it does is pump up the opposition. We're not Philly......
On a side note, what was with all of the Packer fans in the stands??? The idiot announcers kept saying how the GB fans follow them around, but failed to mention the Fed Ex is always SOLD OUT! That means that Skins "fans" are selling their tickets to the opposition. That's just wonderful!!! (sarcasm) |
