So glad we've got some real pros on offense. From everything I've heard Kyle Shanahan is a real sharp guy. Also great to see Keenan M. come back home. Keenan should be able to get the best out of our young wr's. Hopefully they'll respond.

Both were very good initial comments, but what stood out to me was Shanahan's posture, and that he wasn't all decked out in Redskins colors or logo's. He seemed incredibly relaxed, and confident. No level of self-doubt at all.

The "Shanahan Plan" has come to Washington. I like what he says about competition at every position and working out as a team makes you better as a team. The man sounds very detailed and precise in what he wants to do. I feel like we're in pretty good hands here.

re: Mike Shanahan Interview w/ Larry Michael
he basically said he wants competition at each position on the team and that they are going to review all of the players, and then use the combine to determine what needs they can address with the draft.
This sounds good. Obviously there will be a competition for QB, and at Runninback. this is the best news in a long time.

He also said he expects everyone to practice and prepare together as a team in the offseason, so no more staying back in Miami to work out on your own I guess

re: Mike Shanahan Interview w/ Larry Michael
And thats what should be done on each team each year. The whole point is that you are a TEAM. You workout as a team, you practice as a team.
That's why guys like Portis wont be here. Some people on this team are never going to change their ways...seriously think about it. Everything Shanahan is doing here so far is 100% totally different than anything we've ever done since Snyder has been owner. There is only good things that can come from this.

CP knows what's up when it comes to Shanahan. I think odds are he's back.

re: Mike Shanahan Interview w/ Larry Michael
yeah but he's never had to compete with another back in his career, as far as i know.
CP wanted more money in Denver, Shanahan traded him....since he's been here he's had his man-affair with Snyder, and never had to worry about looking over his shoulder...

re: Mike Shanahan Interview w/ Larry Michael
CP could use some healthy competition. I don't think he will shy away from that.

Re: Mike Shanahan Interview w/ Larry Michael
CP is approaching 30, the nfl running back equivalent of 65 in every other field. Even though he's shown little signs of maturing this offseason, I have to agree w/Matty; he'll realize that he's got to prove himself all over again. If not, then he may be even dumber/lazier/more entitled than we think he is.

Re: Mike Shanahan Interview w/ Larry Michael
God it feels good to have a great coach. Zorn was a good guy, but man, its no comparison. Shanny is impressive. I love the focus on combine being all about character, meeting the players, finding a good fit and interesting little bit about 40 times, maybe team speed is on his mind cause we are slow especially offense. thanks for posting
