not sure there is much to see here. we all know he is a hard worker, a winner, but i dont see us taking a project QB. for me, draft wise, its go big or go home when it comes to QB. either take a top guy (bradford/clausen) in the first, or let it go.

I am an unabashed Tebow fan. I guess I could stand it if the Skins took him as high as the second round - that is, after they select Okung in the first round.

Tebow has the physical tools and the ability to learn fast. He's very coachable, and he has a very strong work ethic. As risky a pick as he might be, his upside is sky-high. I think he'll become an NFL QB in time.

In 2010, JC starting, Grossman as backup, and Tebow being developed? We'll see.

I'd say that Cleveland might be a good guess as the place he lands because they have 11 draft picks. Somewhere in the South would be ideal for him because of his huge following there.

I could live with that I guess...as long as we pick up anoher OLman in Round 4.

That would have been best in a private message. =)

With only 5 picks I don't think we have the luxury of drafting Tebow, though something in my gut tells this guy is going to be good.

It is a beautiful day! Right now, on Kent Island it is sunny and 60 degrees. There isn't a cloud in the sky. It's supposed to get to 68 degrees today.

My wife and I have already reserved a cottage for our vacation in South Nags Head this summer. We may come down twice.

Have a good trip today!

To meet minimum thread requirements: Tebow.

I really think the most likely scenario is Okung at #4 and a QB in the 2nd round, so it's natural that the Skins are doing their homework on Tebow. Still don't think we would take him, but it doesn't hurt to work him out.

IF the guy has to work on his mechanics I say let it go. IF we need a good QB most of the pack are seen as low rounders. I still don't see why a lot of guys think the QB pickings is really slim. There are at least 16 decent QBs from major Div IA programs coming out, most with some potential at becoming good pros. The top guys are from the biggest programs with the most national exposure. I don't see how that should automatically put one as being a franchise guy and the other a goat. At least a few of the others(non hyped QBs) that are coming out can be starters. I mean look at the overall QB picture in the NFL. Would you want Dan Lefevour your QB or Russell? Delhomme or Stull? Anderson or Snead? All 3 of these college guys have the potential to be better than at least half the starting NFL QBs of 2009. My stock on Bradford is rising, but you still have to wonder how much of his success was him being a Sooner in a conference not known for its defensive work. Same goes for Tebow.

I think it would be crazy to not at least check him out. Doesn't cost us anything.

Actually we only get something like 30 private workouts so technically there is some cost.

I wouldn't be opposed to Tebow in the 2nd, though it's certainly not ideal for us w/only 5 picks (at this time anyway). If any deals are made that land more picks I think it's more likely. Also consider the good point that Smoot has made a few times; Shanny will make a wildcard move that no one sees coming. He's done it in the past anyway.

I could see Shanny convincing everyone that Tebow will be a star in the nfl.
