Re: Greg Cosell on McNabb, Campbell, and Others
was reading an article earlier about mcnabb not looking so hot at the previous OTA (might've been from the article that matty posted) .. I mean I won't pretend he's Manning level, but I'd like a little more confidence in abilities and not just leadership, bout to read this though

Remember, McNabb was not known as an offseason workout warrior unless he was rehabbing. |

Re: Greg Cosell on McNabb, Campbell, and Others
I wouldn't take much from someone saying he didn't look sharp in an OTA. Isn't this what these are for? To install the systems and to begin to shake off the rust of the offseason?

No doubt, like I said I won't sweat it now or anything. The only thing that matters is regular season really.

Re: Greg Cosell on McNabb, Campbell, and Others
The Eagles traded McNabb..wait for it.....FOR A REASON. What is that reason? Why I don't have the slightest idea. However I do sound smart when I invoke the 'for a reason' rational.

They have faith in Kolb obviously, they groomed him and they don't want to lose their QB of the future via FA. Much like the Packers with Rodgers/Favre. The difference is that Packers were so bent on keeping Favre out the division that they didn't get much by way of compensation for Favre. The Eagles FO saw what happended with Favre as a cautionary tale, realizing that McNabb will eventually end up where he wants to go they may as well try to get compensation for him. I would like to claim this as my own opinion but i heard it from John Clayton first. |

Re: Greg Cosell on McNabb, Campbell, and Others
I liked this comment by Greg Cosell:
"I believe where McNabb went, working under Mike Shanahan, will be an excellent fit. Shanahan is as good as there is when it comes to personnel packages, different formations and dictating matchups in the passing game that allow the QB to be very quick with his decision making." Sweet. |

Re: Greg Cosell on McNabb, Campbell, and Others
Shanahan definately has a bit of control freak in him, which is what you want when it comes to dicating match-ups. Zorn was pretty indifferent as to who was matching up with who, which helped us in some situations, I think, but hurt us in many others.
Then again, it's Kyle who will be exploiting the match-ups.

Re: Greg Cosell on McNabb, Campbell, and Others
Isn't every QB rusty in OTA and mini camp practices? This means nothing. They were dead on about Tebow. One of the worst picks I've seen in a while.
