Malcolm Kelly Injured During Hell Week
Malcolm Kelly injured during "Hell Week" | ProFootballTalk.com
Hamstring injury. You never know with them. This could mess up his whole season or it could be nothing.

I had a pretty intense session in the weight room on Sunday, and followed it up with a 5 mile interval run. My right hamstring was tight as shit all day Monday and yesterday. Today it was fine. Hamstring tightness could be something, could be nothing. Hopefully Malcolm works it out.

If only we still had Marko Mitchell...
Seriously though, time is running out on Kelly.

Also as pft points out MK has missed 11 games in his frist 2 seasons, but i think some of the games he has missed has been because he just wasnt up to speed on things and he cant be used in special teams. Not all related directly to injury. When i first saw this thread i was thinking his knees, which is a huge relief. Hopefully the micro fractor surgery is going to work for him. Either way lets that hammy is good to go asap.

I mean I dont know a ton about the everyday stuff and looking at his route running and what he did wrong last year to see the bench...but I felt like they never used him right. He's a huge dude, throw a couple fades, short 7 yard crossing routes and stuff like that... maybe he's not capable of it, I have no idea. The one thing I'm really excited for with Shannahan, is that I think he'll use guys the right way and play to their strenghts. Thats somethign that Zorn never did and to be honest there were times with Gibbs wehre I thought the same thing.

Re: Malcolm Kelly Injured During Hell Week
Either Kelly has bad "luck", or just a bad body. Seems like the other guys who have gone to McNabb's camp every year came out okay, and I hope this was a fluke. It's football and there are always injuries, but I'm just tired of our WRs constantly pulling hammy's and getting surgery -- and blaming those for lack of production. Again, another lingering injury ruins his career. With McNabb here, this is it for him for excuses....
And yes, keep us updated GMScud. |

Re: Malcolm Kelly Injured During Hell Week
Impressed who? Zorn's staff or Shanahan's?
I know Zorn's staff and Vinny were impressed, but I tend to take their opinions with a grain of salt, all things considered.

Re: Malcolm Kelly Injured During Hell Week
OK that makes me feel a little better about him.
I can't help it, after a 4-12 season I tend to completely discount anything Zorn and Vinny ever said. Makes me call into question the conventional wisdom that's been steered by the team's talent evaluation to date. But I do trust Shanahan, so if he's impressed then I feel better.

Re: Malcolm Kelly Injured During Hell Week
more so than D.Thomas? I feel like DT had a distinct advantage coming out of last season, and this injury to MK just adds to it.
