ESPN week 2 Power Rankings

Dallas is still grossly overrated, but what else is new?

NFL Power Rankings Week 2 - National Football League - ESPN

One could make a case for the Skins being a few spots higher based on some of the piss poor performances of some of the teams ahead of them, but overall I think #14 is fair enough for now.

People still think they won that game against the Redskins. I find it funny that the 49'ers are a spot above the Seahawks after the ass kicking they got.

The Caps have spoiled me. I'm use these days towards looking at the first 3 spots to find my team.

I was in the 90's. The Wizards (John Wall) and the Orioles (17-10 in August) are promising, but hockey and football are easily my favorite sports. I wish I loved baseball, it's always on.

Being eternal regular season champions is not very impressive.

Just have to take a cue from the Colts. Keep getting to the playoffs with the leagues best player and eventually something is bound to stick.

Having a cupcake coach and lame GM isn't how I would describe the Colts, although I think Polian cried his way to a Bowl by changing the rules. Hockey is a game in which gritty players are a necessity, and there's a great void of grit on the Caps. Actually, I find the Caps to be more like the Cowboys post-Parcells and the Eagles in the previous decade.

Re: ESPN week 2 Power Rankings

I don’t understand how GB can be so high and Philly so low.
Id switch the Colts and Texans
Cowboys should be somewhere around 10-15
Jets should be around 8 or 9
Giants should be closer to the top 10
Seattle should be ahead of 49ers
The Chargers and Chiefs should be around 15-20

I think its fair where we are placed. It seems like our defense is good, but every team is going to be taking shots at Doughty until Kareem gets better and our offense is still trying to figure itself out. But this has to be the worst power rankings ive seen from ESPN, this is in the same league as yahoo’s power rankings.

I think PFT’s power rankings is pretty good:

Agree, those are a joke. I do think the Skins are a bit high since they didnt really appear to have any offense.

Did you even see the Jets game? The Colts have owned Houston so with just one game and one win in yrs over the Colts I see how the Colts are ranked over them.

The Jets have one of the best defenses in the entire league, the Ravens won by a point. The problem the Jets have; more so then the Hard Knocks, boys will be boys antics, load mouth coach and big names with bigger ego players, is that their QB sucks. That was absolutely clear when we played them in the preseason. I was shocked seeing how bad Sanchez was then. But i think theres a chance Sanchez gets better as time goes on, and if not theres Burnell to step in and managed games and 2 decent running backs to take pressure off him. ESPN has the Ravens as number 2 which i think is fair. So barely losing to a really good team keeps you in the top ten in my book.

When you go to a casino they show the last 20 colors that won on the roulette wheel. So when you see that it just landed on black 4 times in a row you place your chip on red, even though the next spin is completely independent of spins before hand. The Texans are good and the Colts are good, just not as good as the Texans imo this year. History plays little or no part when 2 capable teams play each other imo.

Re: ESPN week 2 Power Rankings

14 aint bad we're ahead of the Cardinals and besides the early offensive struggles they didn't have too bad of a game. It would suck to win the first game and be 19 but then again they barely beat the Rams

I agree. Were the situation opposite, we would have dropped like 12 spots... but seriously anywhere from 12-18 I think is fair.
