Just heard on 106.7 TheFan the Redskins are shopping him right now. I believe I heard the Raiders.

Doubt anyone would give up much in return. 6th or 7th rounder at best probably.

WTF? Is he really bad at WR? I really had high hopes for him.

Not necessarily bad, but hasn't shown much on the field unfortunately (or taken much advantage of opportunities). I'm sure some team with need at WR depth would take him for a lower round pick.

Re: RUMOR: Skins Want To Deal Devin Thomas

Raiders?

Colt Brennan return?

Actually, we'd gladly take their punter if they pay part of his ridiculously-high contract. The Raiders have both the highest-paid Kicker AND Punter on their team.

I'd rather not see this happen. He's a talented depth player even if not contributing yet. If Moss or Armstrong go down, he could be very valuable. Not sure that Banks can play WR full time at his size.

If we do trade him, I guess T. Austin would be promoted.

Likely scenerio that T.Austin could return.

After watching Brandon Lloyd climb to potential pro bowler, with more yards then 99% of the NFL, I must say I'm a little hesitant to deal DT if for nothing more then he's a monster on kick returns.

I don't think you should evaluate players you keep like that. What I want to know is is Devin Thomas not good enough to get on the field with Banks or Armstrong on the roster? If that's the case then I would trade him. Plus Thomas is doing so well returning kickoffs.

Maybe Banks has arrived and is taking over? I saw that they didn't put him out there in second half.

Eh, kick returns and punt returns seem different. Thomas is built better for kickoffs while Banks seems better suited for punts. Back in my high school days I was the wedge buster on kickoffs, and so I speak from experience when I say that kickoffs are more violent then punt returns. I also got to do it when I sneaked in to play 8th grade football, before I got caught at least.

Challenge Accepted Devin Thomas current average of 28 YPR is 6 yards higher then Rock Cartwrights average of 22.3 in 2009. I only compare these two years to compare with the rule changes. On top off that the 28 YPR average that Devin has posted so far is higher then any average Cartwright posted. Also for the record right now Cartwright is averaging 19.3 YPR.
