Re: Belichick COY
Bullshit! You can't be COY when you're one and done after a 14-2 season. I'm sorry but the Packer's coach got robbed. I would even say Rex Ryan or Lovie Smith deserved it more than Hoddie.

McCarthy and the Packers had some devastating injuries...or at least they should have been. The came into the Super Bowl running on fumes personnel-wise, but still playing better than anyone in the NFL. Sure, the postseason does not factor into this award, but GB completely turned their season around after losing key players. The made a great run to get to the playoffs. Another candidate would be TB's coach, Rahheem Morris. NO ONE expected that team of nobodies to perform that well. Surprise team of the year. The Patriots pulled another choke-season. Great when it doesn't count, fold when it does. That's not the first time Belichick's team has done that.

The guy is a asshat, but he's a coach I'd love to have. Those honors are based on regular season by the way, nothing to do with the post season. |

Wasn't it Mangini's signs he stole? The atmosphere inthe NFL is one of a short memory.

Haley and Mike Smith (not Lovie Smith) are viable candidates for CoY. So are DelRio, Tomlin (no Big Ben for first 4 weeks), McCarthy and Morris. All of these folks did a very good job this year... And so did Bill Belichick. If I had a vote - - which I do not - - I would have voted for Haley. But I cannot bring myself to think that Belichick did not deserve the award.

14-2 with a lot of new players, can't complain about that.

Re: Belichick COY
Yes. I would have voted for McCarthy but it is difficult to say that Darth does not deserve the award.

Re: Belichick COY
McCarthy should have gotten it. A half a billion players on IR and he still gets the team to the Super Bowl. Haley also deserved a long look. Maybe Reid for being able to replace a Franchise QB so quickly. Lovie Smith going from the hot seat to the NFC Championship. Raheem Morris going from the Number 3 pick in the draft with no one giving him a shot to do anything for at least another year (if that) to 10-6. Personally all of the guys I listed I would have voted ahead of Bellicheck, but McCarthy got snubbed if you ask me.

Re: Belichick COY
If the vote were taken prior to the playoffs, and much as I hate to admit it, I'd give BB the vote. Completely retooled without "rebuilding" and still went 14-2. Before the 3rd Jets game, everybody had them going to the SB.
If the vote were held today, McCarthy. No doubt.
