One Year Today
Well one year today I gave up smoking and have not touched a smoke in one year. I have also convinced two friends to quit and they are smoke free for close to 5 months. I'm not posting this to toot my horn I'm just saying if we can quit so can any of you that smoke. I can't tell you that you will feel better other then breathing better and the coughing is gone but I can tell you that you won't stink like an ash tray.

Re: One Year Today
Congrats FD. My wife gave it up Mother's Day last year and hasn't had one since.

Re: One Year Today
Nice job FD. One of my best friends has been a pack-a-day smoker since he was 16 (turns 33 this year). I wish so badly he'd quit, but he gets pretty defensive when I bring it up.

Re: One Year Today
The only way a person will quit is when they have made up their mind to quit. I told my wife I would quit when our daughter was born and she was 3 when I finally quit. I have friends who smoke and I hade to stay away from them for months so I would not be tempted from their smoking. Now two of them are 6 months smoke free.
