"I think you’d be hard pressed to find another receiver in the league with 76 catches that has made less news than Coles."

I wonder if there is a receiver in the NFL this year with 76 catches and fewer than 1 TD? Maybe that's why there is so little news?

Just asking...

Coles's sole TD is from Clinton Portis. does that speak of Coles or our usual passers?

Don't shoot the messenger.

I do agree with his point though, Coles is now 2nd in the NFC and 4th in the NFL in catches. I know it's not a sexy number like having 15 TD's, but catches still count for something.

I'd be interested in knowing how many times we threw to him in or around the end zone this year. It's not like we've been in the red zone a lot this season, but it seems to me that most of our red zone passes went to Cooley. I wonder if that would have something to do with the foot/toe injury and his inability to get separation?

Coles will probably never be a high TD kind of receiver. His TD's usually come from long range, he's just not an enticing redzone target with his lack of size.

To me that doesn't diminish his skills as a good all-around WR. He's still a playmaker (when healthy), he blocks well for a smaller guy, and he always gives 110%.

Recievers have room to correct for overthrown passes some in the open field. not in the end zone. y'all forget how bad most of those red zone passes were, only the short ones underneath to Cooley (who has amazing hands) worked.

In one of the most anemic, conservative passing games I can remember, Coles still is getting good numbers. TheTDs/big plays I chalk up much more to the offense than to Coles. Lots of times it's just COles and Gardner going out. And he still gets open. And remember, he got a lot of these numbers with BRUNELL!
