I saw this last night on the show that came on before John Grudens QB club. I thought it was pretty funny:
ESPN posts chilling video of hit on Locker - Sports: Eric Degerman | Tri-City Herald : Mid-Columbia news

I read an ESPN the mag article where the writer says that when admiring a vaulted ceiling in a waiting room, someone asked Locker how high he thought it was. Jake answered, "30 yards, about 60 feet". Another player there looked at him and said "dude, 30 yards is 90 feet". Lockers response was, "I don't know that stuff, I'm a history major"!!!
You said it Lotus...

That seems a bit unfair. There are probably a lot of history majors/liberal arts students that are very bright, that don't know how many feet are in a yard at that age. The concern would be w/how well he can memorize numbers & variations of plays. Doesn't make him dumb, but he may have to work harder to memorize the playbook.

unfair my ass. that's a question any junior high student should be able to answer without thinking.

Re: 26-27-60 QB formula

Of those 9 QB's you listed, Mallett has the 8th best completion %. I thought that was his calling card, his "amazing" arm. Doesn't matter if he can throw an 80 yard pass if it's in the dirt.

Mallett had a 64% completion % last year and threw for 32.

re: Mallett's accuracy, its not great, and should be treated as such on draft day. However, the raw completion percentage number is somewhat deflated by Mallett not playing his senior season, which would (theoretically) be one of his higher comp% seasons.

He's already being punished for coming out early by the games started total, so I would treat that 58% completion as a bottom end projection for him in the NFL. As in: he'll be at 58% or better as a pro. Which is what you want from a player.

Ryan Mallett consistently throw passes that hits his wr in stride. He's accurate in and outside of the pocket.

That's what I saw from him THIS year. I also saw, in the past, an erratic but potentially accurate passer.

You'd have to assume, for lack of better information, that he's going to develop in the pros similar to how he developed in college. Which means, inaccuracies at the beginning of his career.
