Re: Redskins sign DE Stephen Bowen
I don't know much about him, but I guess that means our d-line is complete with Bowen-Cofield-J. Jenkins

Re: Redskins sign DE Stephen Bowen
I'd be surprised if Jenkins is signed now. We can afford him, but this was not an insignificant deal.

Re: Redskins sign DE Stephen Bowen
And the Redskins have now exceeded the CBA requirement for cash spent in the 2011 season, doing so with 30+ million of deadcap.

Re: Redskins sign DE Stephen Bowen
The Redskins need to keep all of these players till their contracts expire, at least a very high portion of them. Having dead cap year after year is a drag and just leads to more dead cap because you have to keep giving high signing bonuses to get above the cash spent minimum floor. Lets just ride everyone we have for 5 years and see where we get.

Cullen could be headed to Dallas now.
Who called this? Someone here did a while back I think. I know one of my sources (a former scout, but not Dan Shonka) called it in April. But honestly, he's such a terrible source (wrong 3 out of 4 times) that I totally disregarded it

Re: Redskins sign DE Stephen Bowen
People need to start writing either J. Jenkins or C. Jenkins to avoid this confusion

Re: Redskins sign DE Stephen Bowen
I'm Surprised... Don't see us affording both him and C. Jenkins.

Re: Redskins sign DE Stephen Bowen
Why are we signing someone that couldn't start for Dallas? Not a fan of this one.

Re: Redskins sign DE Stephen Bowen
He was actually going to be the starter thsi year and was the starter last year after Spears went down. Of the 3 FA DE we had Spears, Bowen and Hatcher... our front office wanted Bowen back

No they did not over pay. He is young and on the upswing in his career. Jenkins has been hurt on and off in his career and still wanted a pay day.
