Getting copies of old shows (1950s) on DVD
All,
I know we have some folks that work in media here or maybe someone has some experience. My grandmother turns 85 this December. For her birthday I really want to be able to get her DVDs of a TV show she had a weekly spot on waaaaaay back in the day. The spot was sponsored by PEPCO (she taught people how to use their new electric appliances.) I don't know the first place to start. I figured asking through here I may get someone experienced that can get me started in the right department rather than wading through the front desk. I know the show was called Hazel Markel's Bazaar. It was on WTTG (Fox 5). Any input would be appreciated! Should I reach out to PEPCO as well as WTTG? Thanks!

Re: Getting copies of old shows (1950s) on DVD
That's a great idea. I would reach out to WTTG first. I don't know anyone there (that I can think of) so I don't know who to reach out to. But I'd call them during a down time (like a weekend late afternoon)
Another idea. Contact Dave Hughes at DCRTV.com, he's got some good connections to things like that
