RGIII Heisman Winner

So RGIII takes the Heisman. Does this raise his stock in the draft putting him into consideration for number 1? Could Luck be on our side and drop to us?

Re: RGIII Heisman Winner

Congratulations RG3. Not sure if his stock can get any higher but, for the Skins to snag either him or Luck would be a blessing. I say the team needs to prepare to make a move up the board to draft one of the two if they are not already in a position to draft either.

I noticed all the former winners on stage prior to the announcement. One thing stood out......

None are currently in the NFL and there were a lot of QB's on that stage that are not preparing for a game tomorrow.

Stock shmock. No guarantees on any of them.

Name a QB that came with a guarantee.

Mmmm, ok. I know what you mean but, people have to know that it's unlikely that Luck and RG3 won't be drafted #1 and #2 overall.

Some team has to wake up and smell the coffee and realize there's more of sure thing drafting an OT or CB with either of those picks. I think the only way they go back to back is because of a trade.

Just saying the Heisman should not be as big a measuring stick as it used to be. Seems to be more Heisman busts in & out of the NFL in the most recent decade.

Just saying, grade the player and not the brass.

Nah, what this is going to do is catapult him ahead of Barkley as the 2nd QB drafted. I'll be happy with him or Barkley, can't wait until we finally get a franchise QB.

And with the 5th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft the Washington Redskins Select Dwayne Allen TE, Clemson.

Re: RGIII Heisman Winner

Winning the Heisman doesn't mean squat when making it to the pro's. Does the name Archie Griffin rings a bell? Most great QB's in this league never won a Heisman (Montana, Brady, Manning, Rodgers, Favre) some did (Testaverde, Wuerfell, Leinart, Detmer, Weinke, Crouch, Troy Smith, Palmer, Tebow, Bradford, Charlie Ward, Torreta, Plunkett, Newton) so to me it means nothing, to be honest I rather have them not win it, it's like a curse.
