Where to watch?
Anyone know where the best place in the Annandale/Fairfax area is to watch a) skins, b) super bowl/other games? Just moved up to this area a day ago, so still a bit fresh! Thanks!

Daseal, you're right in my area. There are soo many places. It depends on what type of atmosphere you're looking for.
Are you in Annandale or Fairfax? Are you near Little River Tpke? |

Very close to little river tpke. I spend a lot of time in fairfax (Mason) but live in Annandale.
As far as atmosphere, I don't want a dingy place that has smoke so dense I can't see the TV. Preferrably a more skins-oriented bar that keeps them on the big-screen and other games on smaller screens. I'm thinking about Buffalo wings university near the haris teeter shopping center. |

I was just about to recommend BWU. Also, theres always Hooters. Theres a couple of other places near you, like Greveys, and Glory Days. There are more in Arlington, Reston and Tysons too. In Reston theres a place called Champps. I like that place alot because it has alot TV's everywhere. You can pretty much sit anywhere in that place and get a nice view of the game. Alot of girls too. Most of the people that go there are in their 20's. So its a nice atmosphere. |

Champps is probably the best in NoVa for the type of place it wnats to be...sort a hip type place that focuses on sports. The main problem in NoVa is that there are so many transplants that most of the establishments on Sunday are filled with other teams fans looking for a way to watch their team. I don't know of any good places where it is a distinctly Redskins partisan crowd but I am sure there are some. In Fairfax you're best bet is probably Glory Days since they have tons of TVs to watch the game. For the Superbowl I'd rock it out at the place with the best food since thet're all going to be packed.

FRPLG, have you been to Bailey's in Ballston Common? I heard that place is pretty hip too. It's really hard to find a hardcore Skins bar in this area. There so many people from other places that are fans of other teams around here. It sucks because wherever you go around here you're always going to find some dipshit that's a fan of the other team. And usually they like to talk shit about the Skins. |

In Arlington, there's Bailey's at Ballston Common Mall. The place is huge, and has multiple rooms. Food's Ok too.

You have to get to places at like noon to be able to watch the game. BW3's in Roanoke has all these signs up expecting a huge wait.

The Post has a huge list of places to watch the game...many of which have been listed already.
The List Rock Bottom in Ballston is a pretty cool place...i've been known from time to time to grab a beer there after work on Fridays, waiting out traffic...

yeah Rock Bottom has some good beer too. They brew their own.
Daseal, since you're in Fairfax, I recommend BWU, Glory Days, Chammps in Fair Oaks....they're supposed to be having a party hosted by the Sports Junkies. |

Malcolm, this area (DC/NOVA/MD) has a lot to offer. I'm not exactly sure where you're located, but if you can come up here or live up here, you'd love it. So much to do, so many girls, and not to mention this is Redskins territory! It doesn't get better than that. |

Yeah, I've been trying to get into some IT jobs up in the DC area. I'm down in Rockbridge County. If you're not familar with that it's basically an hour away from Harrisonburg/Charlottesville/Roanoke. Right in the middle of all of those places. I'd LOVE to be in true Redskins country. We have the jackass rednecks around here that like the Cowboys by somehow thinking THEY are Cowboys by liking that piece of shit team. DC is about a 3 hour drive from here.
