Wow if these finishes don't say born winner I don't know what else would.
His accolades include a 2004 Associated Press Sports Editors (APSE) Breaking News honorable mention; 1998 APSE Game Story third place finish; and a 1997 APSE News Story fifth place finish

I doubt you'll find a sympathetic crowd for him here. The non-sympathetic crowd includes me lol.

I wonder where Charley Casserly may end up. NFL Network?

I wouldn't mind seeing him there. Casserly is ok.

Re: JLC Moving on From NFL Network
What? JLC moving on?? How could NFLN let him go? His predictions were always on target ... <um, hangon> ... his inside knowledge was without peer ... <umm, wait> ... he gave unbiased hard hitting facts ... oh never mind. I got nothing.
He is the worst kind of talking head - repeating warmed over 2nd hand knowledge, pretending he is a reporter when, in fact, he mostly offers opinions. I pretty much flip the channel whenever he starts talking b/c I am sure he is either wrong or I have already heard what he is going to tell me.

Re: JLC Moving on From NFL Network
JaLa is no Shefter, Mortensen, Clayton, or Glazer. Not sure what I see about this that CBS likes more than Casserly. I actually really like Casserly in the role he played for them and how NFLN uses him. It's not as much insider info as it is a little bit insider but more insider perspective. How does hiring a second rate insider make that better? They'd be better off trying to steal one of the big guys. Hell Breer would be a better get.

Re: JLC Moving on From NFL Network
JLC is awful. Gets paid to give opinions supported by made up sources or "people familiar with the thinking of" or "people around the league". Can't believe he found another network to pay him for this...
