Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Who do you stop?
Who do you only hope to contain? I assume they run a 4-3, since thats where Greg Williams was headed. Saints are an afterthought Lets do this!!!! St. Louis Rams | Team

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Vs the Lions Bradford was 17 for 25 with 198 yards and one TD.
Jackson got only 53 yards. The Lions sacked Bradford three times. I watched this game. The only reason that the Rams were in it at all was because they picked Stafford three times, one that went for a TD. The Ram's offense is weak. They have a good looking defense. If we dont have a rash of turnovers we win this one fairly easily.

I was hoping it would be. I watched the game on a crappy-looking stream on a 19-inch iMac monitor with the volume low because the baby was napping. DVR for sure. I turned on the NFL Network for their scoreboard a few times, but the TV was off most of that 3 hours...almost wish I had turned the Eagles' disaster on though.

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
They have a very bad offensive line, probably bottom 5 overall. They had a couple offensive lineman injured this Sunday also. It should be a good matchup for the skins front, but we'll have too see if the Refs decide to call holding. Also, Stephen Jackson is 29 with alot of miles on him.

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Scott Wells, broke his foot, on IR now. I'd say they have the #32, WORST o-line in football. Michael Brockers will likely miss our game too. They have a decent, well, improved set of WRs for Bradford. I think he'll take a step forward this season. Amendola, Brandon Gibson, the other Steve Smith, Brian Quick. Our secondary needs to continue their solidplay from Week 1. We should win easily.

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
the rams will try and run alot more then the saints did .... stop steven jackson, since if my memory serves me correct he's gashed us recently... stop the quick little passes they throw pressure bradford.. cut down on mistakes in protection and keep RG3 upright and no special teams mistakes... and i think we should cruise if we do these things...

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
As to the Rams. First and Foremost, you keep yourselves in check. We have lost to the Rams to many times because of bonehead Skins play, and this is a week that sets up like that. Big win, Rams have a heartbreaking loss. They see now what we want to do with RG3 and crew, but we should win "easily".
Stop Jackson, pressure Bradford, and don't make offensive mistakes. |

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Lots of quick passes to keep their front off of Griff. Try to rely on YAC to get chunks of yardage rather than 7 step drop passes. Keep the Lambs defense honest with lots of zone-read options and play action.

It's the quintessential trap game, one we have played against the Rams many times in Week 2 or 3, following great wins against teams we statistically shouldn't have beaten, one we have lost against the Rams many, many times in Week 2 or 3. If we don't play down to them, if we don't lay a giant, rotten egg over there on Sunday, if we have an overall fantastic team effort like we did against the Saints, then I'm all in and will be thinking like Wilbon that I'm not waiting for next season and will be thinking of big things for this one. Fun Fact: I trust numbers, math is the one constant in the Universe, and I did not know that Michael Smith of Numbers Never Lie had the 'Skins going at least 8-8 and getting into the playoffs this year with the rookie QB. He laid out a very good case, noting that we swept the Superbowl Champion NY Giants and we lost both games to the Cowpokes with only a total of five points between the two and that was with Sexy Rexy and a defense that's improved since last season. He argued passionately and convincingly with the math that the pieces are in place NOW for the team to at least get into the post-season. If we shine this weekend against those godforsaken Rams - who, IMO, are a barometer of the true health of our team - I'm buying into everything lock, stock and barrel. |

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Pretty much this in a nutshell. The Rams OL is suffering as noted by Bradford's performance last year. He hasn't proved he can perform with the pressure in his face so I say bring the heat, and bring it often.

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Cannot lose this game. A must win, redskins need to prove they will play elite even against shitty teams. We should handle the lambs easily. Pressure
Bradford into early mistakes and take away Jackson. Put points on the Board and take advantage of all of our opportunitys like last week |

Re: Redskin @ Rams: Break it down
Their strength is their secondary. We should ground and pound and then hit them over the top. Expect the Skins to showcase Fred Davis as well.
The Rams lost their starting Left Tackle and another starting O lineman. We should be able to get to Bradford early and often. The only way we lose is by turning the ball over and making stupid mistakes.
