Derrick Brooks should be a slam dunk as well. I also hope Ray Guy makes it.

God there is a backlog of HoF candidates. Is there any reason Tim Brown isn't in already?

And I don't see how you can pass up on Andre Reed either. They voted Micheal Irving in and the only stat he lead in was arrests.

Brown will eventually make it, since his numbers are to good to keep him out of the Hall. 6th all time in receiving yards, 5th all time in catches, 7th all time in TD catches, 9 Pro Bowls, and a spot on the 1990s all-decade team. He's definitely deserving.

I read this as Malcolm Kelly and Devin Thomas welcoming Jordan Reed.

Re: Hall of Fame Finalists 2014

Too many quality names on the list to knock one of them out for a kicker IMO.

Even Andersen? Or are you referring to Ray Guy?

Both.

Kickers are on the field for a handful of times per game. Hard to justify putting one of them in.

True, but these two are the greatest ever at their positions. And Andersen is the NFL's all-time leading scorer. They're just as worthy as most of the names on that list.

Never said they're not worthy, but what regular player do you bump to vote in a specialist?

That's always going to be the thought process when they vote on kickers. It's just hard to justify it.

No Joe Jacoby, Charles Mann, or Mo Elewonibi. What a travesty.
