Bucs vs. Skins Pregame Thread

I'm actually going to end up DVRing this game, because my job is having an event that I have to attend during the hours of the game. But they scheduled it... Get this... During the Ravens bye week. I work in Baltimore. Bastards.

Anyway, the Bucs have MAJOR QB problems, which you'd think the Skins D should be able to take advantage of. If the D steps up, we should take the Bucs handily.

If the regular Skins show up (which means half of the team either doesn't show up at all or leaves during halftime) this will end up being a nailbiting struggle a la the Vikings game.

Ergo... If we show up

Functioning Skins - 28
Bucs - 17

If we don't show up or the offense and/or defense disappears after halftime

Dysfunctional typical Skins we've come to know and love - 20
Bucs - 24

Why do I feel like this could be Jacksonville part deux?

Because Tampa Bay sucks. Difference is the Jags game was early on and the season was far from over. Not so much this game.

Skins - 31
Bucs - 21

Re: Bucs vs. Skins Pregame Thread

The team is healthier and much more rested than the last time they were on the field. Tampa is near the bottom of the league in almost every team stat category.

RGIII looks improved and has a good day. Defense scores. I hope Demar Dotson (a cool guy/gentle giant) does well but Kerrigan still gets a couple of sacks.

Skins 34
Bucs 17

We will see 4 WR set and 2 TE sets, the keys are RGIII, OL protection and D not collapsing. Skins cruise through.

I have a good feeling about this game -- I like what I am hearing about the bye week, team health, folks stepping up in defense of RGIII, etc.

RG3 has his best game in 3 years.

300 yards and 4 td passes.

Jackson 120 yards 2tds

38 - 20 skins

Not as optimistic about this game as some of you, but we should win a close one as long as Haslett doesn't sh*t the bed again...

27-24, Redskins. Griffin and the passing game roll with Morris having another solid game, the defense gets 3 sacks and a turnover(yes, a turnover!) and Roberts has a nice game on special teams.

I think defensively we can hang with them. As long as we don't have any turnovers giving up a short field, I think we win convincingly.

We also need for the offense to score early, and take advantage of short fields and turnovers caused by the defense.

Re: Bucs vs. Skins Pregame Thread

I also will be DVRing the game as well since I'll be at the NICU with my son. So, no internet for me after I get back home and have a chance to see the game.

With that said, the Redskins should win this game. If they don't, they have no business winning any more games the rest of the season. I think they come out and show a sense of urgency.

Prayers for you and your family. Hope that you and your son can return home healthy.

Thanks Art. So far, he's doing really well, but is still very likely to go in for open heart surgery in the next few weeks. We're praying it doesn't come to that though.
