Week 16

Chargers at Raiders on Christmas eve. I'll be watching while getting all the last minute presents wrapped of course.

Re: Week 16

Not a bad game although I like Oakland. Del Rio has done a nice job there. All signs point to SD going to LA.

Re: Week 16

Living in Northern California it is always more fun when the Raiders are at least relevant. I find them to be a much more rabid and die-hard fanbase than the other bay area team.

Exactly. That's why I hope the stay in Oakland. Was talking to a Raider fan the other day that said the stadium needs upgraded badly.

Being a niner hater, I like the Raiders and wish them well and hope they stay in Oakland, same with the Chargers staying in SD. The Rams should move were they came from LA.

The Oakland Coliseum is an old shit hole!! They should tear it down and build a new one at it's current location. Have them play at Levi stadium while they tear and rebuild, only problem is the whiners don't want to share.

I was out there in 2013 for the Skins Raiders game. I agree, that place was a shit hole.

Re: Week 16

If the Vikings win this week and next week we play the Packers in the 1st round?

If Vikings only win 1 of 2 we would play Seattle, assuming Seattle wins next week?

The only way we would play the Vikings is if they win 1 of 2 and Seattle loses next week?

I only ask because my buddy I watch the games with a lot is a huge Vikings fan.

Re: Week 16

Well I think the Raiders purposefully didn't want to build with the Niner's, so now saying hey we want to build something mind if we share, is a bit brash

Re: Week 16

Since I am an A's fan, I am at that stadium a lot during the spring/summer. The stadium is just simply too old. There are actually a lot of decent vendors and eateries in there but you'd never know it judging by the structure itself. It is really a MLB stadium that Al Davis ruined when he moved the team back and erected that monstrosity "Mount Davis" Before that Center field was open and they had actual bleachers for the "bleacher bums" and hardcore fans.

The big issue in Oakland is that because it is a shared stadium, both teams in essence need a new stadium built. No way is that happening, but there has been much more movement on getting the A's a new stadium because I think Raiders' ownership has always been considering a move back to Los Angeles as a real possibility.

Raiders have themselves a nice core of young players. I really like Carr.

Starting a separate thread to discuss who he is might be in order?

Re: Week 16

... and, BTW, the Chargers started in LA and are still the only current NFL team to start as a homegrown franchise in LA.
