Skins-Vikings post game

Kirk Cousins - bet on himself and he's winning

Preston Smith - nice to see you, where u been?

Hopkins - nice bounce back effort

V. Davis - the old guy still has it

Fat Rob - nothing flashy just gets it done

Love the throwbacks especially the helmets with the grey mask and without the stripes

Skins Viks Postgame

Huge win today, started off great and ended great.

GAME BALLS

1. Kirk - hot all game long. Made big time throws
2. OL, 1 sack allowed and made holes for Kelley
3. Crowder, Garcon, Davis.... We don't really need DJAX anymore and he knows it.
4. 2nd half defense
5. P Smith

Surprised Harris looked so good as well.

5-3-1 not bad

Our second quarter debacle was solely based on getting pass happy...This has happened multiple times this season. When are we gonna learn when we are balance everything works better

Well next week we play arguably the worst defense we've seen (not counting cle) so let's hope we run it more and more

i thought we played GB next week? Maybe their pass defense is suspect, by after week 10 (minus tonight's game) they are still 5th in rushing defense. Game plan will include more passing this time i thing. Source (ESPN)

It didn't work out as expected, but I liked it. I liked the fact that they were up 14 and tried to go for the throat. If they complete a couple of those passes and drive down the field and go up 21, there's no "debacle" and they may run away with it...I hope we see more of that actually.

Well that approach has not worked this year. The other game escapes me right now but we did the exact samething (big first quarter, terrible second quarter). As an offense, you have to see adjustments...the Vikings adjusted after the first 2 drives. Also, Im not advocating for joe gibbs conservative, but you go up 2 scores...you start grinding and controlling that line of scrimmage and keep that defense on the sideline. Because when you start aggressively throwing...man, the turnover probability goes way up and you stop the clock. Folks I like Cousins...he is not Aaron Rogers, tom Brady, etc.

The Vikings did the predictable...they went hurry up and more aggressive playcalling. So the defense feels more pressure, get worn out, and gives up scores.

That second quarter was a momentum killer and effective allowed the Vikings to win the first half of that game.

Fat Rob showed his worth in the second half...and first quarter. Don't get away from running the ball, we are a much much better team and offense.

I feel like we forget about that fumble... That was also a killer in the first half. It's not all on the D. They only gave up 2 drives.

Its all about momentum and sometimes when you feel pressure and over exert you can make a mistake. I think this stuff plays into fumble play.

I don't know man. If they go run, run, pass and it's still a three and out, there would be just as many Monday morning QBs saying they went too conservative. My guess is they thought the Vikings would be expecting the run so they didn't...maybe they were overthinking it...who knows. All I'm saying is I appreciate aggressive, and I think we need more of that...at least show the willingness to be aggressive like that so teams can't sit on one thing.

Norman had a quiet game, they stayed away from him all day.
