Arrington's hearing back on

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...061401788.html

I can't see how he will win this, just check out this part of the article:

Quote:
The disputed contract was negotiated by Arrington's agent, Carl Poston, and Redskins salary-cap specialist Eric Schaffer, who was recently promoted to director of football administration. Poston has conceded that he didn't read the contract's final draft because of a looming deadline.
Sounds like he should be bringing a suit against his agent instead.

Re: Arrington's hearing back on

Hasnt anyone told Arrington that Rosenhaus is the man for him. I seriously doubt Dru opt's out of reading the contract. But then Arrington probably would be sitting out for renegotiations on his contract.

I may have missed something, but I cannot see how we could possibly lose! If you sign a contract to purchase and finance a car, and you discover (after you have signed) that the payment is more than you remember, or the price is different, guess what?

what gets me is the 6 million dollar "discrepancy". If this was overlooked then you neednt file a grievance.

I hate all agents.. The Poston's are the worst.

This sounds strikingly TO-like...

Stupid agent signs deal that you aren't happy with. Thank God INDEED he doesn't have Rosenhaus. Hopefully with the Eagles standing firm on TO, Rosenhaus will have to change his tactics.

You are absolutely correct.........and I wouldn't rule that possibility out if/when the appeal fails.

Someone call Lavar and tell him I'll take on the case on a pro bono basis for him just to stick it to the Potsons.

Hell, I'll do it with no previous legal experience and win.

"Well we just forgot to look at the last part of the contract because we were so busy."

HA! I can't believe they are even going to TRY.

Re: Arrington's hearing back on

i think lavar should fire his agents. them and drew rosenhaus have to be the most hated guys around the league. lavar should hire an agent that doesn't have a lot of clients, one who actually becomes friends with the player.

Re: Arrington's hearing back on

If Arrington does get his bonus, his cap hit would be like 18 million in 2006.

Why the f@#k would the Redskins have originally agreed to this sum????

That seems ludicrous to me!

Seriously. Thats why I dont see where this guy's case come's from. No NFL team would agree to that type of a cap hit in one year, its just crazy. He signed it, its a done deal, so I'm not worried about it.

One reason the hit would be so high is that the bonus (allegedly) would have been (allegedly) dispersed during the past two years (allegedly). Since they have not, the full brunt would be borne in 2006.
