Smoot also Hurt
From Vikings.com
"Fred Smoot is another notable name dealing with an injury. Smoot as yet to fully participate in practice due to a neck injury he sustained while lifting weights during the off-season. Tests showed that no structural damage had occurred, but it is still uncomfortable for Smoot. The coaching staff and trainers are taking highly precautionary measures to make sure the prize free agent doesn't encounter any setbacks. "We're going to take time with him. It's not going to be an hourly update on Fred Smoot or a day-to-day. Probably, he's not going to do anything the rest of this week," Coach Tice commented. "I'm at the mercy of the trainers right now, so I don't really know when I'll be back. I can't give you a date," Smoot said following Wednesday's morning session. "

Re: Smoot also Hurt
I'm sure Smoot's biggest asset, his mouth, will keep the Viking reporters happy while he's on the sidelines........
Let's see that's Coles, Smoot, and Courtney Brown.....all spurned the Redskins....and all are injured.......wonder if Snyder hired someone to put a curse on them all........anyword on Pierce? ............

Re: Smoot also Hurt
If you remember Smoot sacrificed himself a few times last year and I think finished the year playing hurt. I wish Smoot the best but I'll say that we're gonna end up winning this thing without him or Bailey or Coles or Morton. Gibbs has brought back class to the Redskins and Williams has given us a defensive back bone to keep us in close games. Remember last season when our offense was truly pathetic??? And somehow we were in nearly every game!!!

Re: Smoot also Hurt
Exactly, and last year was sort of an experimental year with the offense. I think it's close to being up and running now.

Re: Smoot also Hurt
coles played hard for us though his b**chiness when he left left me a bit bitter... smoot on the other hand got $3mill+ more in the first two years and he's had nothing bad to say about us... he played hard, he played hurt, and he generally played well.
