Steelers' fan memory of a memorable Skin's game
Sorry guys to bring back this horrible memory, but I watched the game live and cringed when LT sacked and collasped Theisman's leg in that now infamous MNF game.
One of the most God-aweful leg breaks I've ever seen. At least LT had enough sense and class to immediately shout for help for Joe as soon as son as it happened. |

Re: Steelers' fan memory of a memorable Skin's game
And my meorable event about the Steelers is the crushing defeat that fell them this past AFC champioship game at Heinz field which really isn't a field but a dirt track. Boy what a disaster that was. Baby Benn was all confused. The shock of another crushing defeat put old Myron Cope into retirement, that must really suck.

Whoa, CRT3 nailing me with some smack. I guess you haven't read my posts on this board this evening and if you have, either you missed a few or your reading comprehension is poor. Per your profile, your DOB is March 12, 1963. Going by your post alone, your year of birth should be 1993. BTW, mine is 1968. Unfortunately, we're both Pieces since my bd is March 5th. |

The way we kicked their asses in last year's game prior to handing the Eagles theirs, pisses me off of how we could not come out of the Championship game as the victor. I believe we have these mofos again this year in week3....litmus test galore. |

1) both scrappy (pun intended) teams on both sides of the ball 2) not a Hollywood type of team ala SF and Dal 3) both always concentrated on trying to have a good running game and D ...etc. |

Re: Steelers' fan memory of a memorable Skin's game
ok my opinion, the pats were surprised by the loss of ty law during the first game, Cowher took advantage as any good coach would. But when Belichick had time to plan for the absence of Ty Law in the AFC championship game the pats took it to you. Also didn't they not play with dillion in the first game? didn't they rush like 3 times for 5 yards or was that a different team? I know it was a team that played you because you took our spot at best run stopping d that week.
BUt i will be rooting for you to take down the pats week 3, i like to cheer for the underdog(wierd to say a team that went 15-1 is an underdog isn't it?-- but then again the whole league is an underdog to the Pats) |

Yesterday at 1 a.m (or about 5 hours ago) we were arguing whether or not the steelers Ravens actually is a significant rivalry in the league. I know this thread is near its death but if anyone has an opinion please let in. He insisted that if i were to ask a knowledgable fan that they would say that the steelers ravens rivalry is number 1 in the league, he stressed as of present but i just said there is no history b/w the two. But i did say that they could be a big rivalry in the future. Then he went off insulting the redskins and then i let it all hang out. The problem is the steelers have a ton of rivals, cowboys, raiders, browns, patriots and now the darn ravens. |

Personally I'd put every combination of the NFC east ahead of steelers/ravens as well as chiefs/raiders....... broncos/raiders....... broncos/chiefs....... jets/dolphins........ and maybe even cleveland/cincinnati (the browns may have been gone for a few years....but those cities truly hate each other).

Re: Steelers' fan memory of a memorable Skin's game
well, you know we could have keep that defensive title if our D wasn't on the field so much... 5minutes more per game than the steelers (and probably the bills)... man that offense needed to help
