Re: Most surprising cut?

Thought McCune's potential and special team play would earn him a spot.

Re: Most surprising cut?

I went with Wilson.

He seemed to be a promising young lineman. He stepped in last year and started a game at RT and looked pretty good.

Re: Most surprising cut?

Toss-up between McCune and Warner. McCune had just a little more hype surrounding his pick and athletic ability and so forth, and I think our so called need at MLB added more to the expectation of him making an impact.

Just goes to show, IMO, how much we really miss Pierce. Him and Warner will end up on PS.

McCune 2 me. they hyped him as such a good pickup, but it's cool he'll be on the PS. If Dyson could have done more on special team, I think he would still be there too. I guess Rock 3rd back, and Nemo as goal line

Re: Most surprising cut?

Wilds was the most surprising if only because he lost out to Jimoh.

Wilson was the most disappointing because it does seem to leave us thin at tackle.

I never expected McCune to make it so no surprise he was cut.

We should expect Wilson to make the PS. With the exception of last year, Jansen never missed a game as Skin and although Samuels isn't as durable he has played through injuries/nicks pretty consistently.

It seems the staff wanted more depth and rotation in the interior on the active
Roster. Unless Jansen and Samuels both got hurt I wouldn't worry much.

Good points, I guess Molinaro and Brown are sufficient cover and if Wilson isn't picked up he's there for an emergency.

Re: Most surprising cut?

I think the most surprising cut was Garnell Wilds. I mean what has Ade Jimoh done to keep dodging the bullet?

Is everyone sure that Ade Jimoh and Rufus Brown are not the same person?

Re: Most surprising cut?

I was actually kinda surprised by all of them. Especially after the way Farris played and the way Parson returned kicks. I think James Thrash should have played himself off this team this preseason. I don't see what the benefit of keeping him is. I think they should have kept either Farris or Parson.

I was also very surprised by the cut of Ron Warner, he played very well last season when he was given a chance. The same for Wilds. I just don't understand it, myself.

However, I am pleased to see that Nemo and Rock stayed on the team.

thrash is our #1 teams player as a gunner, he had the most ST tackles, some decent returns, and he played alright at WR and hback last year in limit time.

Re: Most surprising cut?

I went with Warner. Very good speed and showed promising skills when he was given the opportunity.
