Other Games What Surprised You?
Some surprises in week 1.....but which one SURPRISED YOU THE MOST?
1. Shellacking that the Dolphins gave the Broncos 2. The annilihation of the Jets by the Chiefs 3. 49ers victory over the Rams 4. After all the Saints had to deal with on an emotional level, they come up with the win versus Carolina (Carolina who some pick to win the Super Bowl) 5. After a lackluster preseason the Steelers came to life in a big way.........

Re: Other Games What Surprised You?
I think the Dolphins shocked me. Like most people I picked them to be last in their division as well as near the botton in the league. And hey remember, they have good ole "headbanger" Gus in at QB.......great win by the Dolphins............

Re: Other Games What Surprised You?
Dolphins were a surprise, as were the 49ers and the Giants to an extent as well. Everyone has been hyping the Cards so much I'm actually glad they lost.
Early in the game when the Cards were up, I had ESPN radio on in the car on my way to the store and they were all set to put the Cards in the Super Bowl. |

Re: Other Games What Surprised You?
Most surprising to me was the Niners, I really expected the Rams to run up the score.
Hate to see the Niners win anything (arrogant co-worker). |

Re: Other Games What Surprised You?
The Giants lopsided win, to an extent. I figured the Cards defense to be tougher.
The Dallas win, to an extent. Figured Dallas wouldn't score that much, or give up that many points. 49ers and Dolphins big wins today... You gotta have them at 31 and 32 in most power rankings. Interesting to see some of these media dorks backtrack on alot of these locks.

Re: Other Games What Surprised You?
Very suprised by the Dolphins performance, the Steelers sudden awakening offensively with their 3rd string rb leading the way, and I seriously thought Minnesotta would play much better.

Re: Other Games What Surprised You?
Dolphins drubbing of Denver was a huge shock.
I had a felling the cards would get wupped The Vikes getting beat was a suprise to me although in retrospect the vikes haven't had all this new personnel for very long. The most intriguing beat down was the chiefs feasting on the jets. I was in awe of how the chiefs D were all over the jets....shocking.

Re: Other Games What Surprised You?
I omitted a large suprise and that was Orton. He wasn't the deer in the headlights that I expected although we also didn't blitz his ass that much, and he did make mistakes later in the game.
However for all the crapping on him that was happening pre game admittedly alot by me, he hung in there.

SF, no doubt. Great to see Denver stumble. And f*** the cards. Still, the gints and roids won, which sucked.

Re: Other Games What Surprised You?
Definitely the Dolphins over the Broncos was today's biggest suprise for me. For now, the Broncos are the most overated team in the league with an overated corner......who used to resided here in our own back yard.
Plummer just isn't the answer, I can't wait till we play them this year! |

Re: Other Games What Surprised You?
Ok this are listed as more suprised to less but still suprised.
MIA - I'm sorry but this was every booker dream (even mine) I don't thinks there is someone thought they could win and not only that but humiliate the broncos. SF - Again I was 1 who tought this team would go 2 - 14 maybe it will be 3 -13 but I tought more of STL that what they showed. Jets(KC) - I thought the Jets where better and I was suprised with KC def they dominated and humilliated the Jets pennigton saw more grass today that in his college days. NO I really didn't thougt this team will be able to perform this week but they held their own and beat a true playoff conteder. MIN I really tought they would be better that what they showed not be a offense power house like they used to but they looked depresing culppeper trew bricks all day. NYG(ARI) Also the giants looked a lot better that I expected and came back from to Eli early mistakes and beat them good. Was - as I said in another post I wasn't suprised with the win I was suprised that they weren't able to score more points 9 or produce more presure and turnovers I even bet in favor of you and couldn cover a 4 point spread I tought it would be a 17 - 6 game. Dal - I was suprise of the offense and the fact that the team came back and turn the scoreboard 3 times to a verry good charger team that didnt happend before usually when we we're behind late in the game we gave up. Pit - I thought not having plaxico, staley and bettis will really hurt him but they dominated a bad team team like they should and showed they want to repeat. For a cowroid poster, you seem to know stuff! For me, it is always a surprise when my picks (from pick-em) go down in defeat! I never catch a break. I picked the e-girls over Ron Mexico's team tonight! I don't think the dirtybirds are worthy to be on the same field.
