Who woulda thunk it?

NFL Passer Ratings

Eli Manning #5 overall... one notch above Peyton. I must say I'm really surprised at how quickly he's developed.

Brunell is #14 overall with a solid 84.8 rating.

Re: Who woulda thunk it?

Poor, poor, Daunte - he's off to a 50 point swing in QB rating this season. And it ain't swinging the good way.

Re: Who woulda thunk it?

Incidentally, what I am most pleased by are the number of 20+ yard plays so far. I count 8 so far, which puts us ahead of last year's abysmal pace. If we keep improving, that will make a huge difference in our offensive production.

We ALL put in many HARD years of rough times as Skins fans awaiting the resurrection. I for one, am REALLY enjoying this kind of stuff, inconsequential as it may be. INCREDIBLE!

I win this weekend might put me over the edge. If I wasent at an unhealty level of Redskins before, I am for sure now.

Matty, I too am SHOCKED by how Eli Manning is doing. He looked absolutley awful last season besides that last game, and looks great so far this year. In additoin, Plexico Burress seems to be the real deal. I really thought that was a move that would come back and bite them as I didnt think he would produce, but he is so far. I'm hoping that the Giants will have the usual week 7/8 collapse, but so far they look really good.

As for Brunell, what can you say? I'm still skeptical, until I see about 3 straight solid weeks from him (or 3/4 somthing to show consistency), but if he plays like he did last weekend, I'm happy hes starting.

Re: Who woulda thunk it?

The third and longs nearly give me a heart attack every time. I don't think it's healthy on 3 and 12, when i'm telling myself; "No problem, we do this every drive."

Re: Who woulda thunk it?

Brunell has looked remarkably like a pro qb this year, hope his stellar play on third down continues. The big plays in the passing game have been very welcome, can't wait to see Portis breaking long td runs.

it feels weird not going three and out, im almost getting used to these things called first downs. Eli has been great, but lets see what he does against our defense.

Re: Who woulda thunk it?

Eli has looked great--that O-line is protecting him, and he's got some weapons in Burress and Shockey. I am hopeful that it is a function of the weak defenses that the gints have played, but still, the kid has looked good.

Re: Who woulda thunk it?

A healthy dose of Sean Taylor up the middle and Shawn Springs off the corner should remind Elly of her place in the NFC East. I wonder how much of it is Manning and how much is the addition of Burress.

Re: Who woulda thunk it?

I remember getting yelled at when I said I was scared that NY got Eli. He's going to be better than his brother -- not good for us!

Portis would look great hitting a 70 run for a TD at the Donkeys this Sunday.

Re: Who woulda thunk it?

burress is the real deal...speaking of plays over 20 yards, plaxico has 5 himself, already. he also has 25 receptions for almost 400 yards. so if we are a quarter of the way through their season...:FIREdevil - he's on fire right?

Re: Who woulda thunk it?

the top 9 guys in the league in qb rating right now are all former first round picks, save drew breese who was taken 2nd round 1st pick
