Re: Season over?
no i havent given up on the season. i never really give up on the season, but that was the single worst performance i have ever seen. dropped passes, fumble after fumble, no first downs forever. if we lose next week...gonna be near impossible to make the playoffs

Re: Season over?
Not yet -- all I'm going to say is if this offense starts to regress back to where it was last season we need to start being worried. We came out and played abysmal, but that happens sometimes.

Re: Season over?
THis season ain't over by a long shot. They had an unforseen force against them today with the whole Mara thing. They'll regroup and "Git er dun".

As for the skins, it's games like this that test the leadership and heart of a team. A good team looks at the films, gets disgusted, learns from it, and comes out hungry. A bad team feels sorry for themselves and continues to glow in the San Fran game. Either way, this could be a turning point for the club. They get back to work and put together a good season, or they completely go in the tank. As for blame, look at your lines. The Giants were only rushing 4 most of the day and still got to Brunnell and Ramsey, and Tiki cut through the D line like a hot knife through butter. |

Re: Season over?
Not yet. I wonder who voted no though? It's not like we have a losing record. We can still finish out the season at 13-3. Even though that's about as likely as SF winning the Super Bowl, i still have faith.

Re: Season over?
I'm going to watch and root for us every remaining game this year, but I voted "yes, the season's over as fas as playoffs are concerned" for the following reasons:
1. O-line cannot run block for Portis. 2. We're thin at the D-line and our front 4 cannot pressure the QB. I still stick by my previous prediction of 9-7, but we will miss the playoffs. The Eagles should be beatable next week if we can run the ball on them like Denver did today, but we can't. The Biggest disappointment is how we don't run plays designed for Portis. We took a big-play fearsome back and have turned him into a non-factor. No decent defensive team fears our running game. |

Re: Season over?
I haven't given up on a decent season, but it'll be very tough for us to make the playoffs. Every team we play from here on out will study today's film to learn how to shut us down and exploit our defense. Next Sunday's game is a must-win situation.
I thought today's game would show what kind of team we were. Now I hope it was merely a fluke. |

Re: Season over?
I agree with Daseal on this one. I think this season is far from over and every team is entitled to an off day and this one was definitely ours. I mean Miami stomped all over Denver the first week of the season and look what Denver has done since. I think the Giants did come out and played more intense than what we did and they had a great defensive game plan that really frustrated us.

Re: Season over?
I too will be faithful to the end but this team is not a playoff team.Defense cant stop good runners.Offense just not there.
